Who's coming back next year and what will the line-up

Someone educate me on why Larkin is even thinking about leaving. He's undersized (height wise) for the NBA and last I heard, he wasn't even a projected first round pick (no guaranteed money). Developmentally, I feel like he might benefit more from having to be the man for UM next year versus playing in the D-league or Europe.

Also want to add in the following:

1. He said he was returning.

2. He has money and is not needy.

3. He may want to graduate (earn a degree) and

4. He may actually like being in college.

He did say he was returning, but then his last answer on that question was not firm at all. He basically said he'd wait and see.

Anyone know if there are any D-I transfers who have already graduated who are looking to transfer, like the Russell Wilson rule? We could really use another non-freshman newcomer.

And, FWIW, I looked at Draft Express, CBS, ESPN and a couple of others, and not a single one has Larkin projected to go at all, and those all include underclassmen who have yet to declare.

Larkin *might* come back but..... his vibe and overall stock makes me believe that aint true at all. He cant get taller and honestly, at least he can get paid to reach his ceiling. He has money, or at least his family does. I play the odds based on behavior and skill set when it comes to these things. These days, its **** near shocking when a very good player returns with eligibility left. But I will very gladly take an I told you so to the face if he comes back. We are infinitely better if he returns.

Trying to get Strauzer to give us the info. Stuff like this isn't known till after the spring FWIW.

Yeah, I figured, but you never know with rumors on the interwebs these days. That, and I dont think I'm ready for basketball to be over and to transition to football.

Shane has a ton of room to improve. One thing I think he must learn is to use his handles and quickness better to get open mid-range shots, like Chris Paul and his 15-17ft jumper. Being a smaller guard, he's going to have to bring more to the table than lay-ups and 3s on offense, at least if he wants to go in the lottery. He's not ready to play in the show as he currently is, and I think the draft committee will tell him just that when and if he decides to ask.

If he was 6'1 or 6'2, he would have declared last night, but he isn't, so here we are. Yes, it makes that much of a difference when it comes to the pro game and projecting franchise point guards.

Shane just posted this. He's gone. This just makes the loss last night even worse.

I'm confident he's staying. Why? Because college is ******* awesome and he's the man and doesn't need money.

Be shocked if Larkin doesn't come back. Where's he going? NBA 2nd rd picks arent guaranteed. As much as love his game and what he means to Miami basketball, he isn't ready for the NBA - and no guarantee he ever will be. The dude is maybe 5-11 and physically isn't ready for the grind.

Can someone show Larkin what Kendal Marshal is doing these days. I bet he wishes he was at UNC this year.

Hopefully Larkin looks up Austin Rivers' rookie stats:

23 min / 6.2 pt / 2.1 assists / 37% fg

He is also 6'4 and making 2.2 Million Dollars this year. Not exactly the best comparison or example of consequences.

I'll try to find somebody else who left college before he should have, that didn't need to financially, who has a very similar family/financial situation as Larkin, plays Larkin's position, played against Larkin, who is exactly 5'10 and makes less than 2.2 million dollars.

If Larkin comes back, I expect something like this

Starters

PG: Larkin
G: Brown
G: Burnett / Adams
PF: Kelly
C: Jekiri

Bench

PG: Elder
G: Adams / Burnett
G: Reed
F: Swoope
F: Crazy freak athlete TE/WR guy (Griffen? Griffith?)
F/C: Akpejori

Looks about right. Maybe Swoope starting for Kelly depending on how good he actually is.

And dance? NIT bound I hope.

If larkin comes back, we will be OK. Remember, all those seniors didn't do ANYTHING previous. They were coached up.

Sarcasm, got it. Your example is still off.

I really hope Kelly (who will be a junior) is better than Swoope.

Can a player declare, not sign an agent and wait to see where he get's drafted and then come back if he's a 2nd rounder ... sounds stupid as I type it, but was wondering. He has no need to sign with an agent at this point. All that said, I'd be surprised if he isn't with the Canes next year.
