Who will Shine in the Spring?

Hopefully the entire defense steps up in the spring. Tired of being one of the worst defenses in college football.

I don't think canes fans realize just how decimated this roster was when Radio Randy Shannon left the building. Jacory Harris and S. Morris were the only QB's on the roster. Highsmith and Rogers were the up and coming safeties and they lost their jobs to true freshmen. There were no CB's to speak of!!!

I expect plenty of new names and starters to litter the roster come game day next season.
 
These are the players I want to see take their game to the next level:

QB - Dewey
WR's - Herb Waters and Rashawn Scott
OL- Ereck Flowers and Danny Isadora
TE - Beau Sandland
DT - Earl Moore
DE - Tyriq McCord and Dwayne Hoilett
LB's - Raphael Kirby and Jawand Blue
DB's - Tracy Howard and Antonio Crawford

I just hope we come out healthy. I expect a lot of guys to get better but health is my main concern, especially on defense. No more non football injuries for Porter that keep him out the more than half the season.
 
I feel strongly that sun will shine this spring. That being said, I think Hurns will be the man this spring. This will be his last go around and I figure he wants to prove something.

Glad we know that our OL is good...this spring we can really evaluate the DL because of that fact. The DL is all that matters this year--they are the make/break part of this team. Offense will be dynamic, LB's are good, DB's are good--just need the DL to step up in a huge way.

I think Pierre and Porter will be more than adequate. Moore, Ivery, Hamilton, Briscoe, King, Grimble, etc...who's gonna step up? It's not like we don't have the numbers at DT, just need play makers. Chick is Chick--we need a couple guys to develop off the edge, though. If we get 2-3 guys that can actually rush the passer, watch out. If we don't, it will be a very long season and we will not win the tough games.
 
Hamilton, McCord, Kirby and Howard.:cigar:

We get nice production out of them with all of the other starters continuing to improve and we should be looking at a 10 win season.

In order of my "expectations"/prayers:

1) McCord
2) Kirby
3) Pierre
4) Howard
5) A. Crawford
6) Rodgers III
7) Lockhart
8) Dewey
9) Hoilett
10) Blue
 
Malcolm Lewis... I want to see how well he has recovered and how he will approach this new year...I'm thinking he will be taking an Adrian Peterson mindset.
 
i know you guys have probably talked about this before but i was just wondering is eddie johnson on the team or is he done ?
