Who was the BEST S. FL receiver out of High School ?

Duron Carter !!!! Lol I can name 10 WRs that were better then him. As for Cooper, he was good at safety but how could you put somebody that's so polished at WRs at safety ? He was a much better WRs.
Isn't Steve Smith and Chad Johnson from Sfl? How good were they in highschool?

Chad is from Miami, but Steve Smith is from Los Angeles. They both played on the same juco team. Chad played at Miami Beach high. Didn't see him play, but I heard that he was an option qb. Now plays for my boy's soccer team at Kendall soccer park.

Best WRs from SFL that I have recently seen play live (late 2000's - ):

Amari Cooper (Was even more impressive as a safety)
TY Hilton
Stedman Bailey
Antonio Callaway (senior year)

Just behind them:

Calvin Ridley
Duron Carter

He was underrated. Started at Ohio State as a true freshman. I know a few former DBs from OSU (one from dade) and they told me themselves that Duron was the most talented WR on the roster as a true freshman over Devier Posey and Sanzenbacher. In hs, he dominated on a STA team that won the national championship.

I was more impressed with him at safety, because I saw him play live. 2-3X against columbus, once against Jackson and Central. He made plays against elite teams at safety. A few of his former coaches even said that he was better at safety, but really didn't play it until his senior year where his team was trash. He was playing on all instincts and ability and was best DB in dade as a senior. It surprised a lot of local hs coaches , as it was their first time watching him play the position. Didn't notice this until now just reading the first page, but look at post #19 in this thread, where LuCane thought that he'd be an elite safety at Bama. I also saw him and the other top c/o 2012 DBs play for the SFE or in 7v7s. To me, he had more ability than all of them. Elite ball skills and feet, with very good range.

DC was good but he wasn't close to Ridely or cooper. Cooper was the 4th pick in the draft I think he chose the right position.

Is this about guys that were good in college or high school beasts?

And who the **** ever includes Fort Myers as south Florida?

1. Michael Irvin
2. Snoop Minnis
3. Ivan McCartney
4. Aldarious Johnson

Folks all thought that each one of those would be gods. 1 out of 4 was lol.

Nailed it. If you want to know why Stedman didn't get shine, it was because Ivan was that good.

Kevin Beard should be on the list...not sure if he was mentioned but dude was the best wr in s.fla his sr year easily. Him and Schneider put up numbers at Plantation.
