Who Should be our KR/PR This Season?

Coley punt
Burns Kick

no way in **** would I put Duke back there unless the game was on the line in the 4th

Like anyone would kick to him if he was back there...that too has its advantages starting at the 25 or OUT of Bounds or they squib kick for a good start....

Where's Richard Gordon when you need him? I like the idea of Lewis, Elder and Dallas Crawford on punt return. I love to have those quick cut guys that you need to react quickly after the catch. Some of the one cut and fly guys like Coley and Burns would be ideal for kickoffs.

Although Antonio Crawford has some wheels and looks good in high school returning kicks, I don't think he has division one explosiveness there.

Still don't know how you take away maybe the best kick returner in the country

You guys make it sound awfully easy

Agreed. We may see Duke sit a lot on KO but when the chips are down He'll be back there. I can see Duke barking at Golden to let him in now.

Every coach and Miami Hurricane fan in the country wishes someone else would step up so Duke doesn't have to return kicks. Reality though, that's tough to see. I guarantee Duke returns kicks against Florida, I would bet the house on it.

Not sure young cats like Burns and Coley can conjure up the magic Duke did last year but here's to catching lightning in a bottle, twice.

Valid point and think a lot of the decision will be based on how ready Edwards is and the health of Clements. if we are paper thin at RB then no Duke but if the staff is confident in our depth there, it is a no brainer to keep Duke at KR

Nobody is saying take Duke off KORs totally, but he's not gonna be back there every time.

I can't recall, but was CJ Spiller back there every time his last year at Clemson?

I'm not sure if it was everything but I know he was there to burn Miami that year.

Clemson also had an outstanding backup in James Davis I think it was. He took a lot of snaps away from Spiller at RB.

Clemson had Ellington and Harper to go with Spiller so that allowed them to move him all over the place . I think his two backups were close to a grand combined.

I'm hoping Crawford is a legit as the coaches made him out to be in spring. My sleeper is Augustus Edwards, he will surprise some folks.

If a couple of guys do step up then we can use Duke the same way Clemson used Spiller. Won't have to run him into the ground.

Duke on KR is a must IMO. You can't hide him, if he gets hurt he gets hurt. He is so shifty I dont see him getting laid out in the open field and I don't see why he is any more likely to get hurt taking a kick back than he would on handoff. Can't waste chances to get him in space. Just cant.

On Punts, my gut tells me I'd like to see either Dallas or Artie back there. Depends who has more reliable hands. Artie is more likely IMO both to house it and to fumble it.
