Who needs to be cut for next year?

Bunch of soft participation award bird chests in here. LOL at keeping D2 level players here just because you think they try hard. Move them the fck out and replace them with much better players. Help them find a D2 spot, but get them the fck off my roster.

Slugs don't give you good looks on the scout team; great young talent gives you good looks on the scout team.

You can't just magically sign 35 new players to scholarship just because you are under the total genius.

Cut:

Rozier
Batten
Langham
J.jones
Mahoney
Loftus
Fines
Jenkins (and add another dt with ford this year)
McCray
Mayes
Henley
Cedric wright (get the pain in the asses out)
Patchan (will get passed up. Too many injuries)

Fckbagface, you want to delete this blast of diarrhea before someone more enterprising than I points out exactly how wrong you are by listing potential early enrollees?

Does not really work like that because you are not able to over sign. So losing that amount of players is almost equal to half of an entire class. That is never good for any program.

Aren't we playing with like 70 scholarship guys? You don't ask guys to leave unless there's a reason.

Only position it makes sense to let a couple guys go is OL. We have numbers there, but they're bad numbers. 2 seniors +4 freshman = let 2 guys walk. Prob Jahair Jones being one of them

This 70 scholarship garbage is overblown and meaningless when talking about guys who don't belong on the roster. I'd have to see the actual numbers to buy that number anyway. Whatever the number actually is doesn't justify keeping guys around who can't help you win games.

Oversign and allocate some early enrollees to last year's class. You must constantly work that roster like Saban does. When you determine a guy can't play you move him out. If you're not willing to do that then you have no business being the HC here. You need to constantly work on bettering your roster.

You're right. We have 77 on scholarship, i was taking the number from posters on this board which i guess was pretty stupid.

10 seniors, say 1 guy goes pro early. Thats 66. I agree then, need a little more attrition.
Henley and McCray seems like decent candidates. I can't see all the RBs coming back. We'd have 7 backs on the roster

I'd rather start a list of posters

Call me caulky but I'd like to think I'd be near the top of that list.

Our recruiting class is looking like it will be over 25 players, there will be some attrition no doubt. You don't keep an upperclassmen who will never sniff the field even as a backup, you cut him loose and add the number back in this years recruiting class.

Actually you can. We can apply 11 early enrollees to 2015 meaning we could technically sign 36. Soooo, ya.

See post #51 , fvckholemouth. Next time you decide to flap your **** sucker cram a dyck in there.

Unless a bunch of superstar recruits happen to change their minds and pick Miami wouldn't you just be adding a bunch of bums to take the spot of the bums you just cut? You want to clear some space to make room for a couple extra four star recruits, OK but if you're clearing out 2 star seniors just to make room for 2 star freshmen, you're only making matters worse.

If all Rick can find is 2 star recruits in his natural bump year, then fire his *** right after signing day.

Gus is gone IMO. If he has any aspirations of showcasing his talents for the NFL, sharing a backfield with 2 other equally serviceable backs just doesn't seem like the way to go. Unless Richt can pull an Urban and convince him this is the still the best situation for him, He gone.

The current list of verbals isn't exactly huge. So, he's either going to have to start flipping guys or otherwise, there's no reason to make extra room on the roster. Let's say he makes a big splash and manages to over sign by two or three scholarships. There's still no reason to have to cut 1/4 of the roster like some people here are suggesting.

It does work that way. You can sign a bunch of early enrollees and count them toward last year's numbers.

We will have trouble getting to 85 with the seniors and potential juniors leaving. There will be no cutting just to gain numbers. It will be of the players own accord. Or a discipline reason for removal.

This isn't true. If we cut all these guys, we'd have room for 30 recruits. We could fill that many scholarships with this class. We won't, we will likely only take 25, but that puts us at 80 scholarship players. Is there really any difference between 80 and 85 if those 5 extra guys are terrible?
