There was a guy in the 30's who was going to start an attraction on an island in the Silver River. He dropped off the monkeys and some food, then went back a few weeks later and they were gone.

A lot of Tarzan footage was also filmed on the Caloosahatchee River.

Creature from the Black Lagoon, some footage for Sea Hunt, and an episode of I Spy, which is what the underwater statues are from.

Along with Wakulla Springs up here in North FL.

If anybody is staying in the Lake Mary area there is a Canes fan who has a really nice restaurant, The Vineyard Wine Company. Excellent wines, an eclectic menu, excellent Filet, and every item they prepare is outstanding, be it a Lasagna, Duck, Pheasant, or my favorite ... the most amazing interpretation of a bacon gouda meatloaf with a veal demi glace. Burgundy mushrooms are killer.
