Who gets Redshirted from this years class?

Why are people saying not to shirt Olsen? Seems like something that is way too obvious and important to do. Get an extra year out of our QB of the future..
 
Olsen has said in Multiple interviews that he will redshirt. Remember he barley played any football last year with his injury.
 
From what I have read - Kamalu - has 3 yr to play 3 ie redshirt soph - he will play

Olsen will DEFINITELY be redshirted, unless Morris goes down and he looks that much better than the other guys.
 
Olsen Absolutely...4 guys infront of him and no EE...he knows his role and will be very hard to beat come March 2014...

I understand redshirting Olsen, but I can only imagine that our recruiting classes improve dramatically from here on out (not that this one was bad). t would make sense to play everyone as early as possible to get them game experience to help in the next two to three years. Five years from now the really talented guys will go pro regardless, and we don't want other guys clogging up the roster like we have with a few right now.

i know olson has said he'd likely redshirt, but, i might not agree. if he's that good and starts in 2014, he will only be here 3 years anyway.
if in the summer and fall, he looks better than the others and like the number 2 qb, i'd rather he get mins in actual game time scenarios in 2013 instead of starting in 2014 never seen action in a game. then, he will start 3 years anyway.

Depending on how Olsen looks in the Spring, Im not sure if he RS either, though it would be to his benefit. Only reason that would make sense to burn his shirt is if Morris got hurt.

I'm pretty sure Kamalu redshirted already at Juco and has 3 to play 3. I think that quote was from his HS coach. I'm pretty certain he has 3 to play 3
 
Grace won't shirt. He will be a monster on ST and contribute as a nickel LB right away.

Why would he leave in three years? You do know he comes from money and most kids like that are likely to stay

Amen. Golden said that in an interview a couple of months ago. JUCO guys want on the field now. If they are worthy of being recruited at the D-1 level, they are probably in pretty high demand. They ain't sittin.

RL3 is gonna make an impact on STeams, I know he looks like he could use a redshirt but barring injury I don't think it's likely
