Who does Richt need to close with

Anyone who judges a class before it is completed is not being fair.

When you roast a chicken and eat it when it is only halfway done you get sick.

Realistically, a 3 year rebuild after Golden sold us sand

So far, this isn't the first year bump class I was expecting. Rum has been an abject failure recruiting his former players, and that has hurt us badly.

Once again, we're hemorrhaging sponjulix when it comes to losing local blue-chip guys.

Agreed. And we know Richt can recruit. The problem is we getting further and further removed from being a relevant football team. His natural first year bump is not as strong as Golden's, which wasn't as strong as Shannon's.

Donaldson and Dallas are huge commits. Donaldson walks in as a starter at OT. Dallas allows them to adjust the class as he can play CB or WR. They need to close more elite kids and a total of 26-28 kids. With Feagels hopefully a walk on, we have room for 9 more before the attrition numbers would be unrealistic.

WR: plus 2
OL: plus 2-3
TE: may be 1
RB: plus 1
DL: may be 1
LB: may be 1
CB: plus 1/2
S: may be 1

He needs to close with a strong WR, OL, and CB class

WR:

- Harley
- 1 of Holloman/Smith/Jeudy

OL:

2 of Telfort/Hebert/Slaton

CB:

- Get Henderson or Edwards back
- 1 of Collier/Brini or a Juco CB

Couldn't agree more.

WR: Holloman, Harley, with outside chance of D Smith
OL: 2 of Telfort/Slaton/Chandler/Bateman
TE: McKitty or none
RB: MacFarland or another elite kid, plan B may be Felix

DL: Wright please!
LB: Dixon please!
CB: Henderson or both Collier/Brini

If we don't land Holloman, Harley, or D Smith then Dallas moves to WR so we need two.

It is going to be hard pull Holli,an from Ga, as they are offering his older brother as a preferred walk-on and can get Hope scholarship while working towards Atheletics one.

Not saying i disagree, but if CMR can close with McFarland, Slaton, Holloman/Smith, Harley, Hebert/Telfort, Brini, McKitty we'd have a great class that would probably be top 10. That would mean at least 30% of the class would be "blue Chip recruits" with the rest of the class mostly comprised with S. Fl and Florida talent. Isn't that what we want at Miami?

That's why I used the qualifying words "so far."

It's disconcerting they bungled the Edwards recruitment so badly (that was Goldenesque). Hopefully the staff can repair that relationship, or pull another elite talent to replace him so we're not left holding our ****s.

You're kidding yourself if you think we're going to get any of these recruits. Especially the Olineman you named. We'll probably get Collier and Brini that's it.

I'll be very disappointed if we don't close with
OL 2/3
Slaton
Herbert
Telfort

Position of need, early playing time available. Would be very discouraged if Richt and staff can't get these local prospects to see that.

WR 2/3
Holloman
Smith
Harley

Another position we need depth at, One of the best freshmen in the country is making plays and snaps will be available to these guys.

DB's 2/3
Edwards
Henderson
Brini

RB
McFarland

And personally I would rather have another DT in the class than Cade Weldon, Zach Dykstra, Billy Gibson, Kevaughn Dingle

That's fair. I do agree with you that we need to close big time with some blue chippers. Everyone can say stars don't matter, but that's just BS.

Need to keep all the current commits and add:

WR - Holloman and Smith
DB - Need to add 2 more elite CBs
OL - Need at least 1 more elite OT and a versatile interior dude
Speed, speed, speed

And how did they bungled Edwards?
