At this point we need almost all of our recruits on the defensive side of the ball to make an impact. I'd love to see Keith Bryant make an early impact, but it is so difficult for the youngsters to make an immediate impact while playing on the interior of the line. If Thomas is playing DE (rush end on passing situations) he'll be in the mix with Gabe Terror and Tariq McCord. If he could provide some sort of pass rush that would be huge. I don't know much about him beyond what has been mentioned here. We have talented and athletic DBs, I thought some guys improved over the course of the season: Tracy Howard played a lot yesterday and tattooed a receiver, Gunter has shown flashes although he was a bit inconsistent, and I think most believe that Crawford will be a baller with more experience. I'm fine with Bush and Jenkins at safety going forward. Both are instinctive (always around the ball), athletic, and physical. What we lack is depth. Right now the drop off at safety is woefully unacceptable. Burns and Carter will provide quality depth. My vote goes to Thomas assuming he'll be able to help us apply much needed pressure in passing situations.
On offense it is whoever we take at RB. We need another difference maker.
