Who didn't play?

Who was the WR #84 with no name plate on his jersey

Greg Golden

Goldens nephew has his name on his jersey, this guy was out there with no name

Then it can't be a WR. The NCAA doesn't allow the same number for two guys who play the same position. That rule was added this year. The other 84 must be Austin Barnard, a kicker.

Ok then either one of our kickers or Casper the ghost was out their running routes in the 4th qtr wearing an 84 jersey. Golden didn't play his nephew last night

I just looked at the 4Q again, and sure enough there is #84 out there. I can't explain it, but I think they got away with one. Here's the rule.
Players’ Numbering
ARTICLE 2. a. All players shall be numbered 1 through 99. Any number
preceded by zero (“0’’) is illegal.
b. No two players of the same team shall participate in the same down wearing
identical numbers.
c. Markings in the vicinity of the numbers are not permitted.
PENALTY [a-c]—Live-ball foul. Five yards from the previous spot [S23].
d. When a player enters the game after changing his jersey number, he must
report to the referee, who then informs the opposing head coach and
announces the change. A player who enters the game after changing his
number and does not report commits a foul for unsportsmanlike conduct.
[S27]. (A.R. 1-4-2-I)
e. Two players playing the same position may not wear the same number during
the game.

PENALTY [d-e]—Live-ball foul, unsportsmanlike conduct. 15 yards from
the previous spot [S27]. Flagrant offenders shall be disqualified
[S47].

Perry played last night if he is #95. Certainly passed the eyeball test.

I'm actually surprised we didn't use O'Donnell at TE (#88) after Sandman, Dobard and Walford. I saw him on the sideline dressed out.

He looked pretty decent in some video's that were shown on the different Cane sites. Maybe he did play and I just didn't see it or maybe he was injured or something.

However, (sorry @Manny_Navarro ), Greg Golden, Al's nephew, did NOT play. Al said 84=Chad Barnes, who had his # switched for game

O'Donnell played on STs, not sure if he was in on offense. Perry did play, he was in there for the last defensive series.

Tucker did not play and Golden said last week that he will redshirt.

C'mon, they aren't stupid. They aren't burning a redshirt on a guy they intended to redshirt just b/ c the score is 77-7. They don't HAVE to play everyone. The guys he intended to redshirt won't play, barring injury.
