Not even close... Our 01 team would knock this auburn team in the dirt.

Everyone saw what happened in 05 when espn had that usc team pegged as the greatest. They even had a special about them going against the top teams in history.... Remember what happened to them..... No one is touching that 01 team. Only one that had a chance of getting with in 20 pts of that team is the 95 Nebraska team.

This FSU team needed a miracle to beat Auburn. Better then the 2001 'Canes....:ibisroflmao: Please.
 
2001 Canes would get seriously out coached by either of these teams. They would have to rely on out-athleting the other team.
 
Who cares about 2001 thats like a hundred years ago all our players from that team are not here, fsu just won a title we cant say ****. I wanna win now not boast about nfl u from the ice ages.

I have no idea how their NFL prospects will pan out in the league (knowing FSU's track record, it'll be good, but not great), but this team, standalone in college football, will go down as an All-Time great team. It hurts the soul, but it is what it is.
 
01 Miami pummeled opponents but is mainly known for the amount of good to great NFL players it had. Time will tell with this FSU team.

I'm with you on this. I love the 2001 team as much as anybody(greatest team ever) but the fact is it was 13 years ago. We have to stop living in the past. If this doesn't motivate our team for next season, then I don't know what will.

Motivation doesnt create talent, at the end of the day thats how cfb is the most talent wins. We gotta start closing strong if not fsu will be better. I expect them to beat us for 2 more years the way they recruit. It suks but we cant do **** this is what UM is now.
