Who’s going to be our “X” ?

X should be the yearly position or disposition of every Cane that suits up. But, isnt that the definition of Culture? A word that’s tossed around like a Blow up Barbie at a Frat house? Sometimes as an excuse for poor play and poor coaching? “Change the culture”, but what is the culture and what should it be changed too. A good place to look is at X, the little train that could. Why did he train, study and drive himself, bc he believed in himself, even when others doubted him. It’s what GoCanes05 said train like no other, so you can be like no other”. That’s the Mantle that each player should carry of we”re going to change the culture and achieve greatness and championships again. Its simple.. #BELIKEX.. GoCanes🙌🏽#CANESNATIONLIFER

What? Yeah duh every coach wants to be able to motivate a player to be as motivated as X.

I hope we're not talking about changing the culture for all 10 years Mario's contract.
 
Not really concerned about the next X... Just concerned with catching the ball when it's thrown to you.... Make the play and everything will take care of itself...

Saban during his boot camp years ago challenged his players to find out what would break them , great question.
X knew what would break him so he trained to exhaustion raising the bar of what would break him to unreal heights.

If we're talking about slot receiver, if I were to guess, Ray Ray gets passed up by one of the Freshmen. My money would be on Toney just because he's such a baller. But I like Upshaw a lot.

If we're talking about the "go to" for Beck, it's Daniels until proven otherwise. A spring portal WR or Jojo could displace that. But Beck's got to be looking at that 2023 LSU tape thinking he can do something with CJ.

Honestly i don’t know who the guys will be on our offense..defense was trash so everyone focus is there but it seems we just forgetting about offense. We literally have no proven game changers

The first day of spring will tell everything of how the season will go.
Everyone should report in game day condition, plays memorized and in sync.

It’s these kids choosing if they want to win all there’s, we will see .

I choose not to drink koolaide anymore , personally the coaches will be shocked at the outcome of conditioning the players will be .

All intentions from the past will at spring exposed and shear panic will hit in a shocking fashion.

Brace yourselves it won’t be good, it wouldn’t surprise me if players walk out do to being demoted, WATCH

It’s there choice, I assure you our opponents are eager to get a hold of us knowing a couple months won’t fix years of hands on hips play on our D .
A complete new mindset must be rebooted and for children that’s not easy .

The first practice will dictate the season no getting around it .

There will probably be another portal WR added in spring but honestly, I’m not concerned about the position. We’re in a very WR friendly offense and we have a veteran quarterback. Everyone thought we needed to add a “real WR1” last year and Restrepo wasn’t going to get targeted anymore because an Dyke left. The guy we added ended up being WR 4 and X had a record breaking season. Look at the first half offense in the bowl game. We had George, Arroyo and a bunch of guys who barely played and we scored 31 first half points. Guys are going to eat in Dawson’s offense.

We made a play for many of the top slot guys(Branch, Concepcion from NC State, Rivers from FIU), but it just didn’t work out. I think if we could have landed Beck sooner things may have played out differently. At this point, I think we’re basically forced to roll with what we have unless a big name becomes available in spring. If that’s the case, I know he’s young but I’m still not ruling out Toney winning that job.

It's a mentality thing. It's actually good that they were surrounded by X this early, they could see what it takes to be an all-time-receiver at a university with a long list of All-Pro receivers and some HoF ones.

That's how we can find out. Someone has to set a standard for everyone else to follow.

True good point,

We have a super tough schedule coming, we must be prepared these are teams that are looking for fiercely to set the tone for there own knowing 2 loses kicks you out of everything.
We seem to always collapse towards end of season as teams peak we freak .

If we thought last year was tough this season will be beyond tough.

The physicality of our team will be tested in fire early and often.
