Whiteout for the UF game.

Still waiting for someone to say:

"You aren't supposed to wear white after Labor Day"

pretty funny seeing everyone trying to justify not wearing white. Support your team and wear white. Nothing more to it.

Don't want to wear white.

And then people have the nerve to complain about the gameday atmosphere compared to places like Clemson.

Losers.

The school/AD is asking you to wear white. Stop being a d-bag and just wear white. How hard is it? Wear your beloved orange jersey for the other 6 games. Every other fanbase can do, why can't we? What the **** are you trying to prove? Are you going to hurt your jersey's feelings? It's our biggest game in 10 years against a team that will play us in Miami once every 10-20 freakin years. JUST ******* DO IT.

Seriously, why can't Miami fans figure out that this is college football and not the NFL. ******* jerseys and piped in rap music for everyone!

Amen. But YOU! Look around.

Seriously, and then people complain when we lose recruits to places like Clemson. Did you guys see the atmosphere there last night? It was unreal. Some recruits eat that **** up. I bet if the Clemson AD asked their fans to murder people they would. Our fans won't wear a **** shirt.

Going white next Sat for #BeatUF follow @GoldenAl and @CanesAllAccess with white shirt and orange tie or grab a T or jersey

I do not really get that, the stadium is going to be white, sprinkled with Orange and Blue. Puke

More important to show off my new jersey than try and supply the team with some type of home field advantage :ohlord: :ohlord: :ohlord:

Team calls for fans to wear white. I'm wearing white.

Why is it so ****ing difficult to meet this request?

Because our fans are f@ggot fashion plates. They gotta wear what makes them feel the sexiest instead of helping the team. They'll have their waxed eyebrows and f@ggy string beards and their shorts that are 5 sizes too big. And, goddamit, if their orange jerseys look best with their with their wigger gear, then that's what they're going to wear.

what will you be wearing to the game

Another f@ggot from RCT who won't use his RCT name on this site. Nice work, Betty.

I don't use mine, neither do u. Evolve and move on. My RCT name died when I left that place.

Besides, I'm pretty sure a RCTer signed up over here with my old RCT name to troll.

As for JacqueSniff, there was one on Scout and one on RCT. Were u both?

When you go to a canes game and then see games like Clemson and schools like Wisconsin, it is amazing that UM has the history we do. Pro player stadium does nothing to help, the seats are so far away... But agree, if the school says wear white, just do it and tell UF fans to wear white too haha.

I am going to look at this from a Public Relations perspective and I think more UF fans bought tickets then Miami fans and in order to not visually look bad they are probably doing this to have people blend in together. Very similar to the way the athletic department rearranged seating sections to give the appearance from the TV Camera perspective that there are more people at the game.

UM has never worn white at home and would not change this tradion especially against UF. Now the crowd thing is a different story. Also having to wear white UM gear means people we have to go out and purchase new apparel also a benefit to UM licensing revenue. But again this speculation about why the white out.

Go Canes

New apparel?

I've never referred to a wife beater, or a simple white T as apparel.

I remember those day games in September. By kickoff you are basically stripped down to shorts and a hat, with whatever shirt you wore transformed into a sweat soaked rag.

CORAL GABLES, Fla. – Saturday's in-state showdown between the Miami Hurricanes and the Florida Gators has been declared "White Out the Gators". All Canes fans are encouraged to wear white. Saturday’s game at Sun Life Stadium will kick at noon ET on ESPN.

Category 5, the student-run organization, led the charge for 6,000 white shirts to be distributed to UM students for Saturday’s game. The shirts feature an Al Golden tie and a pair of Sebastian the Ibis sunglasses.

“Category 5 is proud to work with the University of Miami Athletics Department to bring specially designed white T-shirts to all students who attend the pep rally in our effort to ‘White Out the Gators’,” said Andrew Wyatt, president of Cat-5. “We think it adds a unique twist to the gameday experience for students and leads to a greater sense of community as we all stand in strong spirit.”

Students can receive their white out shirts at Friday’s 6 p.m. pep rally at the University of Miami’s new Student Activities Center.

Single-game and season tickets for the 2013 season are on sale now at www.CanesTix.com. For the latest information on the Miami Hurricanes, follow us on Twitter, @MiamiHurricanes, and check out the official football blog, www.theufootball.com.

Won't happen. Maybe the student section, but 90% of Canes fans will not be wearing white.

Maybe the U could get smart for once, and sell a bunch of those sponsored Canes shirts (in white of course) during the tailgate. (you know, those cheap, usually orange T's they sell in the South student parking section).

I doubt you will see such aforethought, however.
