I've seen people posting S. Taylor's highlights recently and it got me thinking who do we think was the best coming out of High School? I always hear Frank Gore mentioned as well, but for those of us living outside of Florida who do the experts believe was the best?

the whole recruiting class of 2001 video was insane. sean, winslow, gore, rolle ... but honestly the best of that bunch in terms of highlights may have been roscoe parrish. very electric and shifty in hs...

Armstead was undoubtedly one of the best high school defensive players of all time.

Frank Gore & DJ Williams were both legends in HS as well. Won't be popular, but J12 was the triggerman on one of the best HS teams of all time.

I don't think I could consider J12 just do the fact that he had 3 D1 WR's he was throwing to during his time at MNW.

Armstead, IIRC he was the first player ever named a HS All-American 3 years in a row

he also had some crazy number of tackles his senior year. I am thinking like 300 tackles.

Gore's individual statistics are second to none

What were they, I don't have them off-hand.

"Coral Gables...one of the nation's most heavily recruited and highly regarded running backs...set a Dade County record for rushing yardage in a season in 2000 with 2,953 yards and 34 touchdowns in his senior season...rushed for 1,559 yards and 28 touchdowns in 1999, in addition to 301 receiving yards and four more TDs through the air"

From the UM website

Close to 3,000 yards in 1 season is ridiculous.
