Where the Florida blue chip players signed

How long did it take Dabo to win 10 games? How long did it take Saban to win 10 wins. What was their records the first 5 years? I am waiting for the MOPES to crawl out of hiding.
Saban
Saban spent 5 years at MSU, never hit the 10 win mark. Won 58% of the games there as coach.
5 years at LSU, 2 seasons with 10 and 13 wins his 2nd and 4th respectively, the other 3 under 10. Won 75% of the games there as coach.
Since coming to Alabama, went 7-6 in his first year, and 12-2 the second year. Won the title his 3rd year.
***was a total trainwreck in the NFL
Dabo
Dabo took 4 years to hit double digit wins. Since then he has had double digit wins every season.

I just don't get this take. I'm still on the fence with Manny. I see a lot of positives but I also see a lot of growing pains. Which is okay if you keep getting better ala Dabo and Saban.

But to come out and try to shove Dabo and Saban's career in peoples faces as if you just proved them all wrong and Manny has reached thee pinnacle.....well....in case you didn't know.....Manny still hasn't won anything meaningful. The defensive staff overhaul makes me feel 100 times better about Manny then I did post UNC. He very well may have finally figured this thing out.

But let's slow our roll in comparing this guy to Dabo and Saban.

This is cool. I want to acknowledge that this is a good thing. But it’s misleading af. Bama signed 6... but their 6 were all in the top 15 of the state including 1 and 2. Ours were a lot more spread out. 2 top 5, but no one else in the top 20. We are still missing on a lot of the top 10% of FL talent (so is UF and FSU). That’s our next mountain to conquer. Acknowledging that IMG ***** this all up, but we also went 3/10 for the top 10 SFL kids per 247. The next step is attainable with this staff though
I was just about to ask this. The list is cool and everything but the who's matter.

I agree - this is a great thing to see and this class can become a building block.

FL "Blue Chip" Miami recruits in the last 4 classes:

2018 - 12
2019 - 5
2020 - 8
2021 - 11

So we've been here before.

The key now is consistently stack classes. Continue to get 2 top 5-10 players in FL/Top 30 nationally types (which 2021 has), maintain those 10+ blue chips per year, and have more of those 10+ come form the top 100 overall in the next 2-3 classes.

Easier said than done - but we're close.

And that’s the point. We’re Trending in the right direction.

And that’s the point. We’re Trending in the right direction.

Totally agree - and fingers crossed this trend continues.

But I've seen this "we're trending in the right direction" type class before - 2008, 2012, 2018, 2021 - each of our last 4 coaches had had 1.

I'll be cautiously optimistic until I see if Manny can do this consistently over the next 2 classes. But I'm a bit jaded.

They say Manny can’t recruit but he pulled in a strong class off a disastrous 1st season, pulled off a better class in year 2 and didn’t have the type of monsters that he’s unleashing on the trail now.

Doubt all you want but shït is about to get real out here.

I have a sneaking suspicion that the 2021 class is going to end up being a lot better than the 2018 class, but I guess we will just have to wait and see.

But we’ve never had so many elite recruiters on staff.

I lived in SC during Dabo's 3rd year as HC at Clemson. That year he went 6-7 and I can tell you with 100% certainty that the bulk of their fan base was calling for his head. So the comparison is fairly accurate, despite how much you don't want it to be.

Here we go again, they’re is always some fool that wants to compare Manny to the two best coaches with in all of CFB that have 9 national championships! Smh and it’s always the same fools that said the same thing about Radio, Fatso and Mork&Jort. Smh yet we only have one coastal title in 17 seasons. It never ends with these guys, it’s like the scene in Coming to America when “everytime I start talking about boxing, a white mans got to bring up Rocky Marciano!” Lol 😂

I was just about to ask this. The list is cool and everything but the who's matter.
Agree, the whos matter, taking the top 5 kids overall in the nation from So. Fla, is diff from taking a top 200 kid from So. Fla., but still we almost double everyone else as we should and as someone else pointed out IMG skews the stats somewhat as they are considered a Florida "Blue chipper" yet they may have only been in florida for a few months. Also a kid like Arnold from tally we don't really expect to pull but we should be blowing people away in So.Fla. which i think we accomplished.

Out of So. Fla. we missed on Brooks (even though I am happy with the WR class we have of George, Brinson, Smith out of So. Fla); Lewis (who ended up at maryland of all places) and Marshall (paid or whatever) and Dallas Turner (it is impossible to always keep all of em home). And while someone said Bama had the #1 (turner) we got the #2 (Taylor) and #3 (Williams) all in the top 15.

Brooks is elite just watch that kid, we need those kids that bama desperately wants. Thats the change I want to see at every spot, now at CB and LB I want the guys they target in sfla. Their high priority guys from sfla should not go there they should be settling not us, and when u settle it blows up in your face.

Agree on Brooks, honestly we need a So.Fla kid to go there and bust and kind of break the trend of Cooper-Ridley-Jeudy, all high ranked So.Fla WR, all went to Bama, all went first round, that is just hard to recruit against then throw in the fact Brooks went to IMG his senior year so he wasn't even in So. Fla. it is a tall task. Dont get me wrong its a change I want to see, but this is a good start. Also, isnt the WR class somewhat weak in So.Fla this year? I know there are some talented kids but I don't think there is a Cooper, Ridley, Jeudy, Brooks, type talent this year?

Ummm that’s a joke right? If Manny wins 2 natty’s and 7 ACC championships over the 10 years then sure. It’s fairly accurate.

But for right now. That comparison is very far off.

Bama has had S FL WRs not pan out. Xavier Williams has been a bust. Jones-Bell will probably end up transferring. I'm guessing there are others.

It just doesn't matter because Bama just has so much depth of talent, especially at WR. Recruits don't care about the guys who don't pan out, because Bama can just sell the ones that do

Were usualy uptop every year add into it that we have had the advantage of a terrible fla st program we need to be alot better
