Jump Oregon? looking at whom Clemson played previous to FSU makes me wonder why people thought they were so good, but either way FSU thinks they better than they are and we will prove that to them. I think VA Tech is going to be another Cane victory as well. I know I'm looking ahead but isn't that what these boards are kind of for?:neonu::neonu::neonu:

VT deserves to be higher ranked, since its only loss was to Bama. That would make our back to back wins better. Not sure we jump OR because the computer polls hate us. I do think in the end, if we are undefeated and win ACCCG, we get to NC. We make for great TV ratings. FSU/ Clemson ratings were less than Alburn/ TAM. Part Jannie football, but also nobody watches Clemson. THE U/FSU on Nov2 will have huge ratings. TV ratings are our best friend; computer ratings our worst.

Your talking about beating FSU twice...when you should be worried about figuring out how to beat them the first time. By far the hardest game we will play during the regular season. Just Sayin'

When we do win watch how many stans jump back on Morris' d-ck!!!!!

Morris for Heisman i can hear it now lol

And if we win because he led us to victory as opposed to us overcoming his errors, Canes would be right to sing his praises just like we are correct for calling him out for being a turnover machine so far this season.

Let's pump the breaks and get through a well coached WF team and emotional week with an early kick first.

I think the emotion helps us this weekend. I think Al fires them up and they go out and prove their top ten rankings.

Why is everyone so high on Vtech. They hung tough with Bama in the first game of the year. But if they were to play this week, Bama wins by 20+. They barely squeaked by Marshall and ECU. They have a tough defense, but their Quarterback is a liabilty.

We won't jump Oregon. The pollers love them and their strength of schedule remaining is good enough to stay top 2

True but they're a basically a UF clone with a less talented DT. I'll reserve judgement until I see them play against Duke this week.

IF we somehow beat FSU we will suddenly be in the conversation and will be top 3 IMO. Then it becomes a beauty pageant.

The problem is that the weekend that we would presumably be beating VT, Oregon would presumably be beating Stanford and Alabama would presumably be beating LSU.

As of now, those are both better wins than anything we have left on the schedule, including that VT game.

The only way I see us jumping either of those two teams if we all won out, and even this is a long-shot, is if FSU loses another ACC game, and Clemson runs the table in dominant fashion, AND the Pac-12 South and SEC East put forward weak 3-loss or so teams into their conference championship. We'd beat a possibly top 10 Clemson team while Alabama and Oregon hopefully struggled with a barely ranked conference opponent.

That's a LOT of things to ask for and even then... less than 50/50 chance IMHO. One of those teams would have to look really, really bad in at least two close wins against bad teams for this to get going.

**** OSU. If we're undefeated and we're not ranked ahead of them and their weak *** SOS, I'm going to get all up in that ***.

I'm so sick of the love affair with an over-rated PAC12.

me too. The fact that Stanford is 6th in the nation, and regarded so highly by the media still after losing to an UNRANKED Utah team at HOME is the most ridiculous crap i've seen outside of the usual SEC bias. UCLA is overrated, and you saw how high Washington was earlier this year for no reason, they already dropped three games so they are a big bust. It's crap and everyone knows it.

just hope Stanford beats that Oregon ***. Miami 12-0 will play in the championship game over 1 loss anyone and over an undefeated OSU.

If they are out there and even thinking about rankings then we are in for a world of hurt these next 6 weeks.

It's nice to see a lot of people jumping on the bandwagon, but you fair weather fans have to keep your perspective.
It's play by play, series by series, quarter by quarter.

Many of us have envisioned where we are currently at 4-5 months ago, as have, I'm sure, the coaches, but I'd bet my house they never bring up what if something 3 games down the road occurs.

If last week proved anything, it proved that any team can have a bad day and kiss their season good bye.

Our season rides on the Wake Forest game and nothing else.
