This certainly doesn't bode well for Duke. Just by watching this draft, he be lucky to be a 4th or 5th round pick next year. Any thoughts?

It just isn't a premium position anymore. You can find franchise back in the late 2nd round on back. Which gives you the chance to use the early picks on positions of real need.

No game changing backs last two years...Duke, not to be biased, is a game changer. Plus, a lot of these backs were read option backs, not true RBs. Duke is a true RB

Gurley is the best back next year. please take the orange and green glasses off for once.

Followed by Mike Davis. Not impressed by Yeldon. Duke has the added feature of being an immediate return threat which will definitely boost his stock.

I'll say Duke have more value than Gurley, because he can impact the game in several different areas. NFL teams may rank Duke higher on there board because of the impact he can have on special teams.

James Wilder Jr has made one great choice after another since graduating high school. Couldnt have happened to a better young man.

Kid couldve been a helluva LB.

I just don't think that any of the RBs in this draft are that great. Next year's draft will be much better.

simply put, it's passing league atm. we know what great running instincts duke has...what the nfl will be looking for is hope he can pick up pass protection and his versatility running routes. if he excels in those areas, he dips be a top 50 pick. IMO, if I'm a rb drafted, I'd worry more about what team drafts me, rather than the actual round/number. if you're drafted by a good organization and in a good offense it'll help in extending a career

anyone who thinks Duke goes before mid 3rd round is highly biased or doesn't understand the NFL.

Teams feel they can find a RB anywhere. They don't need to waste early picks on runningbacks.

If Duke goes over 1000+ and stays healthy without having any concussions he'll go somewhere in the first 2 rounds.
If not he'll slide.

And while yes, the league has gone pass happy, defenses are adjusting with more nickel and dime. Offenses will adjust to exploit the vulnerability to the run of those defense by running more. Bigger RB's that can pass protect, catch out of the back field will be at a premium.
How Duke will fit is TBD.
