What was the final attendance numbers for the uva game

My wife was watching the game and asked why the stadium was empty all I could say I dont know why

Your answer should have been " it's because fans like you and me aren't there , now go make me a sandwich. "

It's was a low turn out, the rain made it look even worse as a lot were watching it inside under cover on the monitors.

A lot of factors into the attendance on Saturday. It was a messy day with the weather. Kids have already went home for thanksgiving break. We are playing in a NFL stadium so it's going to look empty. Fact is we need our own stadium.

Fact is we aint getting one...
 
Can we please stop with the on campus or "own" stadium stuff. Would it help? Yes, of course. Would it drastically alter things? No, not really. If we had a 50-55,000 seat stadium on campus or near campus (yes, I know it's not feasible, I'm just playing around) it would draw more fans initially for the novelty of it. It would help with student attendance, but we're not a big state school, so we're never going to count on students for a great deal of the crowd, it might force people to buy tickets for fear of not getting them because of less available seats, and lastly, it would make it look less embarrassing when we had 25,000 actual bodies in the seats. That said, we're not going to suddenly mean sellouts every game and a packed house every game.

I feel like I've seen it worse.. but not by much. Best guess would be around 15-18k.
 
With the weather for the game I figured it helped turn more fans that were in the fence that didn't want to get drenched
 
Also parking lot had a nice turnout.. Think a good portion decided to not go get soaked.
