What is the fvckin obsession with Saban? If D'Onofrio could just be Tim Walton we'd have a few more wins and I'd have less grey hair.

Did you see what happened to us today when he played some schemes similar to Tim Walton? Do you know what schemes Tim Walton played? Please explain how being Tim Walton would have improved today's result. No, not with Tim Walton's players; with the ones on the field today.

Our 2 starters were out. There's a reason DP and EJ start as a RS Freshman and True Soph.


And comparing to hoops defense is asisne. In hoops, you have 5 guys to worry about and a much smaller area to defend. It's not the same ballpark. It aint even the same ******* league or sport.

Love the history students on this board. Saban in year 3 at MSU lost 5 of his last 7 games. In year 4, he went 6-6 and didn't make a bowl game. Yet, you cite him as a genius but aren't willing to give Al Golden a few years to turn things around and get players to fit his system. Stupid.

Saban has LB's that are grown *** men. Dead Poets is an idiot. Don't listen to him. Besides, our LB's still can't figure out their drops. That's why the middle of the field is wide open between the LB's and the Safeties.


Bottom line, if Deon and Perryman aren't injured, we win. If Eddie Johnson isn't a selfish prick, we win.


Al Golden can't lose a TEAM if it isn't together as a TEAM. He is trying to build one because we are rebuilding.

UM fans need to realize we aren't ever gonna be able to hire a finished product. That sucks but we are gonna have to live with guys learning on the job. What really sucks is like Butch Davis if Golden starts to get it together he will be off to a bigger gig.

Saban's defense just gave up over 400 yards in back to back games, today's being in front of a raucous crowd at home. Not one player on our defense today would crack Bama's starting lineup, and none would probably crack the two-deep. So give it a rest and have some perspective

We should not have LBs (who don't excel in coverage, no less) routinely covering WRs.

We should not be playing 10 yards off or bail at the snap coverage when we get no consistent pass rush.

We should not be running stunts with a DL who can't execute it forcefully.

If your constantly switching up defenses through out the game how can you get a feel for what you are doing? I love it how you guys use excuses of how we tried every defense and it still didnt work. We barely play man we barely practice man..How on earth do you expect it to work? Im not sayiung we should play man or zone but whatever were gonn aplay stick it to it. DOnt play 5 different defenses on the last drive because this is not the NFL we have limited practice time to practice all those things

There are NCAA guiidelines to how much we can practice, Highsmith and Rodgers are not form South Florida, Ive never changed my argument. Chose a defense send variable blitzes from it and ride with it.

I know the NCAA limits practice, but how do you know how we allocate our time?

Every defense out there practices man and zone concepts.

And we've sent all kinds of blitzes this year.

Are you sure some guys are smarter than this? Some people would prefer Tim Walton to D'Onofrio.. TIM 'everyone stand on the LOS when we blitz' Walton!

I understand what D'Onofrio is trying to implement. When you have the players, a 3-4 works against all offences you'll see in college. We DO NOT have the players. Our DL isn't strong enough to hold the LOS. Our LB make horrible reads and our safety's are either too young or passive.

Its going to take time before we look good on D again. We need to develop the young kids so they can make up for D'Onofrio's lack of feel for the game.
