What is the attraction of FSU?

C'mon. Be realistic. You sound like the FSU morons who say "Why would anyone go to Miami? ****** facilities, ****** stadium" ...

That's not what I mean. I'm not basing it on a comparison of FSU and UM.

I'm trying to figure out how they recruit like they have had the success of Alabama recently while having average results on the field.

Even though the rankings may not translate to performance, it does show how good they are at getting the top-ranked players.

According to ESPN

2009 - 8th
2010 - 6th
2011 - 1st
2012 - 2nd

Are their Facilities and Stadium any better than Alabama, Oregon, USC, etc who have had great results on the field also.

and here are the attractions to playing for Miami

1: the city of Miami and everything it has to offer, SoBe, the Grove, the girls, the weather etc
2: Great education
3: strong (if not the strongest) track record of players moving onto the next level
a. great interaction with current pros and legends

Arent the freshmen and transfer admission requirements stricter for Miami than they are for FSU or UF unless you are a legacy?

They are a million times better than us right now and they dont have impending sanctions

Because they have done better than us, record-wise and recruiting, recently. We can go on and on about how great UM ONCE was but most of the recruits are looking at UM over the past 2-3 years and NOW; a 5-5 team lacking talent on both sides of the ball. FSU has won 10+ games since 2010, have swept us and UF for 3(if they beat UF this year) straight years, has one of the best defenses in CFB, and better facilities and stadium.

They have won 10 games once in the previous 8 seasons (and that was with a 14 game schedule) and have lost at least 4 games in every season back to 2005. While this is better than us it is nothing to write home about.

2011 9-4
2010 10-4
2009 7-6
2008 9-4
2007 7-6
2006 7-6
2005 8-5

Further enforces my point.
For UM
2011 6-6
2010 7-5
2009 9-4
2008 7-6
2007 5-7
2006 7-6
2005 9-3

Like I said, recruits are looking at what has been done recently and what is being done now. It hurts me to say it but FSU for some time has had
1. Better talent than us.
2. Better record than us
3. Better defense than us.
4. Better coaching staff.
5. And better record.
We can use the players we've put in the NFL over the past 4-5 years , but how many of them actually dominated at UM before the NFL?

Why does anyone being up Miami chicks as a pro to Miami. The student body at Miami is tiny. Fsu has wayyyyyy hotter chicks.

Maybe I'm wrong but why does it seem that the current crop of Florida kids is so enamored with FSU. They haven't been much better than us over the last decade when it has been relevant to these kids. If anything, the Gators should be the ones with this type of attraction for the kids.

They have consistently brought in top 5-10 classes whether it was Bowden or now Fisher and are now seemingly fighting us for the top kids in South Florida (O'Leary, Collins, Thomas, Kirkland, etc).

Is it the FAMU girls, good recruiters, $$$?

The ESPN hype machine has been brainwashing these kids that they are great while we suck (even though with exception to this year, both programs have been equal since about 2005). We get no positive outside recruiting from anywhere, FSU gets a ton. These guys ostensibly have some knowledge of the game and surely know things that ordinary fans don't, right? So when one of these guys says FSU is on their way back up, and Miami will never come back, it's going to stick in a kid's head for years.

Tallahassee is a mini mecca for African Americans. FAMU

Great college atmosphere.

Great Poon.

Beautiful stadium and facilities.

Great college atmosphere.

Great Poon.

Beautiful stadium and facilities.

Miami has no shortage of black people.

Miami has a great campus, and outside of it is one of the greatest cities in the U.S.

No shortage of *** ripe for the taking in Miami.

FSU wins the stadium/facilities battle.

So we are a tie on black people, a tie on booty, we win as far as atmosphere is concerned, and we lose the facilities/stadium battle (which we always have, always will). We are the better school to go to (much better academics, as well), but FSU is winning purely because they have a national hype machine going for them, while Miami gets **** on by the same media (monopoly) hyping FSU, as well as being the school the NCAA likes to make an example out of in order to pretend they enforce their own rules.

It depends what kind of atmosphere you want. FSU destroys Miami when it comes to college atmosphere but Miami has South Beach.
