Maybe I'm wrong but why does it seem that the current crop of Florida kids is so enamored with FSU. They haven't been much better than us over the last decade when it has been relevant to these kids. If anything, the Gators should be the ones with this type of attraction for the kids.

They have consistently brought in top 5-10 classes whether it was Bowden or now Fisher and are now seemingly fighting us for the top kids in South Florida (O'Leary, Collins, Thomas, Kirkland, etc).

Is it the FAMU girls, good recruiters, $$$?

Good coaches great Facilities and Stadium... great game day atmosphere.... loads of easy poon, and we can't get every recruit....oh also they have a great track program that attracts many of the speed guys

Fsu has beat Miami and Florida the past two years and Miami already this year, plus it seems like Florida just doesn't come down to sofla has much except for maybe palm beach, now a days at least

Isn't Miami's track program pretty good too, or is that just the woman's team? I know Miami's woman's team had several participants (runners and coaches) in the Olympics.

FSU has always recruited well and that won't change. As mentioned above, they have nice facilities, nice stadium, good atmosphere etc. they also have a great recruiting staff. For as much as Miami hates James Coley, that dude is an animal on the recruiting trail as well as Eddie Gran, Lawrence Dawsey, and Jimbo.

The jury is still out on Jimbo as a coach though.

yeah FSU and Famu have the girls but so does Miami... Trailerhassee is a ghost town on the weekend...

To be honest G.Tech should be getting the best talent..

yes UM has a great Women's Hurdler and I think a good sprinter but the mens track team lags far behind FSU's

Agreed on all of the above.

Don't forget about D. Craig. He has been doing well in Alabama

No kidding. I would like to see him more involved as a QB coach, in more than name. He did pretty well back in the day for Auburn.

Because they have done better than us, record-wise and recruiting, recently. We can go on and on about how great UM ONCE was but most of the recruits are looking at UM over the past 2-3 years and NOW; a 5-5 team lacking talent on both sides of the ball. FSU has won 10+ games since 2010, have swept us and UF for 3(if they beat UF this year) straight years, has one of the best defenses in CFB, and better facilities and stadium.

They have won 10 games once in the previous 8 seasons (and that was with a 14 game schedule) and have lost at least 4 games in every season back to 2005. While this is better than us it is nothing to write home about.

2011 9-4
2010 10-4
2009 7-6
2008 9-4
2007 7-6
2006 7-6
2005 8-5

C'mon. Be realistic. You sound like the FSU morons who say "Why would anyone go to Miami? ****** facilities, ****** stadium" ...
