Real talk what is it? The state is boring. I know will say the bagmen and I believe people get paid. However, their guys are not the best in the league. What is it? Am I missing something?

The money part is true but you must realize that bama's strength is its propaganda. It's not just what they represent but what they present. I recently watched a documentary on Derrick Thomas where they made a point to emphasize, over and over, that he was from Miami and was great because he went to bama. But in their worship, they conveniently left out the parts about how he went through their college and was still unable to read.
For every Amari, how many bad situations are never brought up? How many violations or player failures in college and in the NFL are never talked about? But this is the perfect time for Miami to beat them in their strength, to defeat them in their overconfidence and to give saban a heart attack as a going away present

It's all about $$$, don't let anything else fool you.

There are tons of great schools with excellent football programs, beautiful campuses, and great academics. Bama isn't one of them. T-town sucks and a Bama degree is worthless. Plus, it's well -known that Saban treats kids like crap and cuts players like a NFL coach.

Kids go to Bama because their impressionable, get paid, and see a chance to make NFL cash. Hopefully one day the IRS will investigate the players, boosters, and coaches behind these surely unreported payments and file tax evasion charges. Until then, we will always lose players to Bama, LSU, etc, regardless of how we do on the field

Winning and NFL aspirations. Nobody can argue their success on the field right now. And regardless of how they do once they get to the NFL, Saban can say he got them there. He can point to x amount of first and second round draft picks and now two Heisman winners and say that could be you. It's not a hard sell.

Legendary program with a legendary coach before the current one as well

You also get to compete with the best to be the best.

All this cash talk from people who are fans of a program that everyone in the land was saying was dirty during our heyday. Kings of the city those guys were with all the bells and whistles.

In today's age of media, online and on the air, there is no way to hide rampant payouts like some suggest. The claims are a copout for those who don't wish to admit that some place due to various reasons just might be attractive to recruits.

I love Richt, but you get a call from him and Saban at the same time, most will pick up the call from Saban.

Saban is the Coach K of college football. The guy has won 4 of the last 7 titles (although them playing LSU in the 2012 title game in a rematch in which LSU won the SEC outright and Bama didn't win its conference is still very suspicious.)

Nevertheless, the guy has created a machine. Kids like popularity, and right now Bama is the holy grail of college football. Miami was the holy grail in the 80's to early 90's...and again in the early 2000's. USC was the holy grail in the 70's and mid 2000's. Top schools go through these phases. Miami will once again take its rightful place among modern dynasties. I think Richt gets his first Natty w/in 4yrs here.

To me Bama is just like what Nebraska, Okie, and Bama were back in the day, Everyone use to say those teams were unbeatable and the greatest of all time and this and that, until we came in and stole all the shine. So now it's time for us to swoop in, snatch the ships back and change the game for a good decade or two.
