What is going on?

Winning matters but when you suck you must also pay the suck tax to get the best guys. Trademarked by @Da Jumbo Mutombo Inc
I really believe the boosters & those funding deals are questioning everything like us.

“Why did we pay 80Million for a recruiter if we have to overpay to land recruits?” It’s a fair question.

At that point we might as well have hired someone in the 3-5Ms range and used that extra cash to pay the “we suck” tax.

People still really think Ruiz is the only NIL guy let alone the biggest.

I mean obviously our class is amazing this year compared to last year so NIL clearly isn't an issue and Ruiz didn't help at all.

Mario really ****ed up with 5-7 last year man. If he could have won 8 games he coulda still sold a future plus I'm sure there would be more $$$ to throw around. Miami loves a winner. If he bombs this season again it will be Golden/Manny level toxic. He has to win & look good doing it. End of story.

He f'ed by hiring that id1ot OC... and keeping him all season and beyond. Should have send him packing after MTSU

Only a ****** thinks going 5-7 doesn't handicap a staff.

Thankfully society has a niche for everyone. I'm glad we found yours.

Can't we stop with the "overpaying" nonsense. Too many you have been NFL fans for years and have been conditioned to think that way and I get it but this isn't the NFL. There is no salary cap in college football which pretty much means theres no such thing as overpaying in college football from a competitive standpoint.

I'm not sure if the timelines add up but I'm curious if the admin/boosters made all the fanfare about investing into football/hiring Mario just to get an invite to the BIG or SEC (or whatever big conference came out of realignment) and NOT actually because they got embarrassed on ESPN by Herbstreit.

Feels like the commitment is already waivering substantially in multiple sports (baseball hire) and maybe that coincides with Miami basically having a spot more or less locked up in the BIG and they're going back to being stingy ********. Or maybe it's just that the boosters aren't as committed as the school would like and it just is what it is and there's no conspiracy.....idk......just sucks this place can't ever get its **** together.

Bout time we start overpaying fir any Dline recruit this getting to be pathetic what the **** is this staff doing
We are still alive with 6 of the top 20 DT's in the country (A Jones, J Johnson, LJ McCray, K Franklin, Stone and Breland) and can still possibly flip others and/or get others who are ranked lower (TA Cunningham). Considering these top dogs are all still available, there are still five months and a season to play, it's not worth getting worked up over.

there's always someone who finds out and puts it all over social media. Or gets enough info to be vague and stir up social media. I could name a few transgressors....
There’s a lot of people who know , so if you spew it you look like an asshat and a bad fan. Let the player and the program have its moment. Momentum is finally trending our way so let’s enjoy it
