What do we do?

You all are looking for a built in excuse on why you don't attend games, so when you jump back on the wagon it doesn't look as bad.

How about you stop telling people how to be a fan?

This program has been in the toilet going on 10 years now. There isn't a person posting on here who doesn't care deeply for this program.

We don't show to games now. Let's keep not showing and give other schools more **** to say about our team and fan base to our recruits. I bought my season tickets and I will be at the games. Win or lose I'm a canes fan! We suppose to be family (that's what makes us different then all the other schools), family don't walk out when the chips are down. If you don't like what's going on show up make a banner, yell at coach D, or chant we want a new DC. To not show up in the bad times is front running. Either with us or against us. We don't care about nothing but this U!

Corches ain't my family. UM is. UM above all else. Corches come and go. UM remains. All I care about is what's best for UM, and junking this deplorable and disgraceful defense is what's best for UM.

So you turn your back on the players like Howard, Duke and others who came here when they could have gone elsewhere and been playing infront of sellout crowds and big bowl games in their 2nd year. I don't goto games for coaching. I go for the players and the school I'm proud to be from. I will boo and yell at all the coaches I'm not happy with. I will let them know it's their fault not hold it against our players or our university

Thanks for your views.

Some of us can't attend games. I live in NYC but I have been a season tix holder and donate to the school. I am not giving an excuse but some of us can't attend games every weekend, we do what we can.

I don't blame people for doing what they need to do either, it is their wallet.

I believe that UM's hard core fan base is very small. Maybe a lot smaller than people want to believe. Fans will come to see ND, FSU, UF, and maybe a few others when UM is good, because they anticipate a high quality sports entertainment show. They aren't "fair weather" fans, they are consumers looking for quality entertainment. If the perception is that UM stinks, and the opponent stinks, you are going to get what you will see Saturday. Fans don't abandon the Canes. They aren't deeply invested in them to start with.

Just an opinion. YMMV

Or...follow the example of winners. Were there empty seats when Bowden was fired? When Mike Shula was fired? Or did people with money make demands? Instead of cutting off the money supply, increase it and make your voice heard. Become a booster if you want your opinion to matter. Otherwise, feel satisfied that Miami can't afford a Jimbo or a Saban.

Ibis Wings' post IS dead on!! COULDNT AGREE MORE!! I wanted to believe in Golden but for the First time these LAST 2 WEEKS I HAVE SERIOUS DOUBTS!! lOVE MY CANES But I'm hating what we look like right now! No Direction for these kids!!!!

the only way that AG has a prayer here is to completely clean house on the defensive side of the ball. hire a legit DC and HAND OVER THE DEFENSE TO HIM.

I understand the out of towners who can't make games, I'm talking about those who live in the area. U*** fans drive for hours to make it to those games. Spend your money however you want, but not showing isn't going to do anything. Coaches get their money either way. School has plenty of resources to make up for your end. All not showing and supporting the team does is hurt the players and our recruiting.

People are always going to do what they want to do. It is what it is.

I know what I'm doing;
I'll be there Saturday at 8am, root for my CANES, and after the season I will send my Email in saying I will not buy as many season tickets and will drop my donations to the atheletic department and Hurricane Club if changes are not made.
I won't quit on my CANES!!!
