nah, you can't complain about what the class was like six months before signing day

for the last 6-7 months we've had to endure porsters *****ing and moaning about DL recruiting, it was too early at the time and in hindsight to judge any class

I wouldn’t expect that though because there’s 12 or 13 names on this list. Getting 4-5 is hitting the numbers aspect. They’re not all true whales in my opinion but good enough for the purposes here of tracking out top DL targets and seeing what happens. Looks a lot better today than 2 weeks ago.

They can complain. There wasn’t much traction and we whiffed on a bunch of guys who left us and committed elsewhere, and to schools not named the gator. At that point our strategy had to be flips over time. It’s working out thankfully but that’s not ideal normally, being down 2-3 scores in the 4th quarter and all, even with Tom Brady.

There’s people who bring up legit concerns and get torched on here for it. That’s different than trolls ******* with the MariBros non-stop just because.

having concern is one thing, calling for our coaches to be fired due to where our DL class stood in July is a completely other thing and what was happening

To be even where we are is a feat all in its own. When you look at that none of these kids are local, nearly all OOS. All wanted by elite programs. You could argue that K. Jackson isn't a whale but pulling him, a freaking UiF legacy out of Gville is bunkers.

Kudos to Mario, Uncle Joe and HOFer Taylor.

The whole firing talk is a non starter with his contract. Like pointless for a long while. He needs overwhelming talent to compensate for his game day coRching. I hope he finally turns those things over to someone who’s good at that portion of the job.

I think complaints and concerns are perfectly fine. I think it gets annoying when people make absolute statements and jokes about the class six months before signing day. JMHO

Also to tell someone that they can’t complain about something that is objectively in the moment is ridiculous.

That’s like saying you can’t judge Mario for his losses at GT or MTSU if he goes on to make it to the playoffs years later…

that's fair, in my post I said "complain" which was wrong

moreso had a problem with those that consistently called for Joe to be fired and clowning our coaching staff all summer as if they had never followed recruiting before

complain / criticism I think is fair - but trying to call a class a failure - like several were doing, 6 months before signing day is just dumb as proven by where we stand right now. Then again, people are allowed to dumb things I suppose so I digress
