****es me off watching how FSU attacks on D and is forcing WF into mistakes. God we had a stupid game plan against WF.

It's not rocket science, kids.

Here's a task for you - list the devastating pass rushers we have on the roster.

Struggling? That's why we run a conservative, bend but don't break, defence. We challenge the other team to march down the field >10 yards at a time. That takes a level of efficiency that few teams have.

Going forward, looking at this recruiting class, we want to get after the QB and be disruptive, but right now we don't have the horses. This style of D is about being practical.

Difficult to rush the passer when you DEs are asked to engage and read.

Or when our Dline plays to protect their gaps instead of shooting through the gap and attack the ball carrier

Until we are able to generate pressure with 4 men we will play conservative.

Also FSU is light years ahead of us.

Now list the devastating pass rushers on FSU's team? They don't have any and that is why they bring heat and move guys around (i.e Jones at DE on passing situations).

If you know you can't get any pressure with your front four and you chose to only bring four most of the time, there is something wrong with you as a coordinator. Especially when your LB's are terrible in coverage and your best group is at CB.

At this level, most guys will beat you if they are comfortable in the pocket.

You really should just stop posting....FSUs pass rush was so bad they had to move Christian Jones to DE to get any pressure. You know what Christian Jones isn't? He isn't a 280lb DE who's asked to engage and protect a gap....he's AQM and McCord allowed to play on multiple downs.

These people need to stop making excuse. Our defensive philosophy is to wait till every offense does something then react to it after they run the play. When you have never coached at a blue blood program, its quite acceptable and necessary to run this type of defense where you are most always overmatched athletically. I guess we are overmatched by every team we play. Golden is a good head coach imo, he has an aura about him. But Dno is not right for our tradition on defense
