Arm length is one thing but his height and low center of gravity will present a unique problem for p5 guards as well. Violent hands, which can be taught, should help him overcome the arm length issue. I say take him and like Butch Davis said, coach the shut out if him.

Violent hands only help when you can gain leverage, and when someone has you by 3 or 4 inches that negates your violent hands.

Go Canes

Neal is in several plays in the video ( 40 sec, and again at 2:03), watch how once the OL gets into his body Neal is stalemated, but tries to power through the block. Against quality p5 Guards it's a wrap for neal once they get their meat hooks him. Watch the entire video then go back an watch Neal's hand usage vs a player like Ealijah Roberts who is able slap the Olinemens hands away from his body an then keep them way after the initial contact.

2020 DT Timothy Smith from Sebastian, FL is what you want your interior dlinemen to look like and move like, keep in mind this young man is 340lbs when you watch the video. Neal is good, but Smith is elite an Miami needs to bring in the elite big boys by either consistantly putting a winning product on the field or getting into the bag game (which UM can't do)

Not when you know how to use them. But if you say so.

He doesnt translate well to the next level. He is a nose guard but is very very short limbed for the position.

I would offer. I think this kid adds value.
He will be a positive. They've given out scholarships to kids much more questionable than this kid.
I think this kid would be a positive contributor in sone way. Just my opinion.

I'd take the local kid especially with Gulliver having some kids on deck (but who knows if they'll still be at Gulliver), but I'm not sure we make room for 4th DT or that he is a scheme fit. I like him better than Riggins (who I don't hate and I'm glad he's finally back on a football field), but they may like a pass rushing 3tech kid like Riggins better
