We're in a lot of trouble

A perfect storm season and the best we can do is a 2 seed. Perhaps now Donna will come to terms with what being a FOOTBALL school means.

What the **** does this even mean? I want to neg you, but will await some clarification before I decide.

blows my mind that there are people on here who some how think we are going to go on some crazy run come tourney time. the team has been a sinking ship since we went to FSU. even the duke game, our defense just awful. no excuse.

We're ****ing tired. Eventually, the cracks start to show. No way around it except straight through at this point.

If we are so dead tired, how are we up by double digits in the second half.

We lost focus and choked.

We had a double-digit lead at Duke in the first half. Means nothing.

There is no margin for error when you're playing so shallow. We miss a few shots, someone loses the rhythm of the game, we have a bad sequence, and we don't have anywhere to turn to. Asking to play perfect hoops, at any level, is not realistic.

Tonight's game was really no different than a whole slew of others in the past month. The only difference is, instead of the other team missing their last shot, they made it. The symptoms of the team's sickness remains exactly the same.

I think it comes down to our poor perimeter defense. We are giving up way too many open 3s and not doing a good job fighting through screens.

We saw this in WF, Duke and GT. I think this is the common denominator with all three of those losses.

All teams are fatigued at this point of the year. But tonight, I think we just choked.

it means that every single move for ten years (INCLUDING taking zero basketball sanctions while the football team sat out two years.) has been in effort to prop up a basketball program, while the football program died a slow painful death.

As if it would just be easy to turn us into a Carribbean Duke/UNC, and fans would accept the gutting of our football program bc we now were a basketball school.

The school has been running from its identity for decades, and they have turned us into a cheap Duke immitation.

Yep, you're as ******* dumb as I originally thought. I'll neg you the next chance I get.

Lol. A few of you cats need to step away from the ledge. This was a bad loss but I don't know who you guys been talkin to but if we win the ACC tournament we will be a #1 seed. A team like this needs to just hurry up and get to the tournament. Playing teams like Gtech that have nothing to play for is not good for a team like this right now. We beat Clemson and we back. There is really only one team that scares me in the ACC right now and that is UNC. They are red hot right now and that is what this time of year is all about.

You're missing the point most are making. We're not winning the ACCT unless A LOT changes. We beat Clemson and we're not back, it means we beat a team that is 5-12 in the ACC and just lost to BC at home. Playing GT was no problem for 3 of their last opponents, including NC State who beat them by 13 in Atlanta. Sorry, but all you're doing is making excuses right now. The team is playing horrible basketball. Sure they can turn it around, but until they show something else, people are going to be worried. We've been playing poorly for the last 5 weeks.

After such a strong performance at Duke, it would appear the party is over and they are a solid team that overachieved.
To say they've looked mediocre over the last six weeks would be kind.

Why do we seem to go away from what works? We killed Duke with Scott and especially Larkin driving and shooting the floater/runner or short jumper. We barely did that against GT. Kadji is impossible for most C or PF to guard in the post, but he goes down there 4-5 times a game.

If Reggie starts on Saturday I'm throwing in the towel.

If Reggie starts Saturday, Coach L should be fired on the spot. And I'm dead serious with that statement.

all five seniors will start against clemson

This isnt 92 UNLV, there is no time for emotional BS like that. We really do need to eek out a win.

We started Quigtar on Senior Day last year in a must-win game. It's just something that Coach L does as a thank you to the seniors. I don't have a problem with that. It's not like he's going to play three bigs together for the entire game...

Reggie is definitely starting Saturday, not only because it's Senior Day and we need to celebrate his career here, but because we need him to get confidence. It's our only chance to make a deep run, regardless of how bad he's played lately we need to try and get him going if we want to go far.
