Agreed, but honestly the coaches poll should stop being a thing. The coaches don’t watch the games unless they are preparing for one of the opponents and they don’t even vote. Typically, some GA is the one filling out the poll and typically just looks at the score or whatever narrative they followed on ESPN/Twitter etc. on the way into the office early Sunday/late Saturday.

In all honesty it's impossible for media members to watch all the games too. It's all horse**** with people, at the most, looking through the results of the week without any real deep dive into how the games played out.

True but the narrative at ESPN last night was FSU showed championship mettle going into a hostile environment and earned a tough road win against an emotionally charged opponent (watching that game none of that is true). FSU looked like a top 15/20 team not a top 5 team and the score doesn’t tell that story.

Correct, but at least the media are catching highlights and watching some of the games throughout the day. The coaches and their staff don’t have the time during a game day to do any of that sort.

The media gets it wrong at times but they aren’t completely throwing crap against the wall like the coaches poll seems to do

I get your point but that's not entirely accurate. Playing a set of over inflated teams can over inflate your own strength of schedule. Just look at how the top teams with the same number of losses are ALWAYS SEC teams.

We got enough games to prove we belong.

It's crazy how ppl go coo coo for cocoa puffs over polls this early. Preseason polls and anything before wk6 is all bs. The meat of the schedule hasn't been played, so how can anyone dictate who is better than who. Let me see how they look with some conference games under their belts. Also; if teams are breaking in new qbs or coordinators, 6wks in you should know what you got(considering there is no preseason)

Colorado being ahead of Miami is complete horse s***. Going to double overtime with a team that was 3-9 last year, at home.

They apparently travelled back in time and beat last year’s TCU team. Too much bias in that poll and not enough eye test.

We control our destiny so **** em and win.

Miami doesn’t deserve any benefit of the doubt. We have sucked for 2 decades. Need to string together multiple wins against T25 teams before I start scrutinizing our “ranking.” One win versus TAMU doesn’t mean ****.

First time in a while where UM, FSU and UF were all ranked. UCF might also be ranked soon.

if the Canes take care of business against Temple and GT, they will continue to move up and might get up to #15 going into UNC. Wins back to back against UNC and Clemson will put us solidly in the top 10 with no looking back.

The Canes just need to keep improving and take care of business and themselves and stay healthy, and this could be a special year that really gets things turned around in the right direction
