We want Bama!

Who cares who we play in a bowl game? If we somehow win, all they’ll say is it doesn’t matter so and so didn’t play, game didn’t matter bc they got snubbed from the playoff etc. If we lose that’s the exact thing we’ll say. The committee and the talking heads aren’t gonna point to a bowl game and say that’s proof they messed up. Give it up. The season is over.

I'm suggesting/hoping the team, including Mario, got mad enough about the committee ranking Bama ahead of us that they'd show up to prove it on the field.

Maybe that's naive but I think a matchup against Bama is the closest thing we'd get to a full-strength matchup in a "meaningless bowl game".

If we play a BYU or Iowa state or really anybody else, I'd expect every kid that's headed to the draft ,or even the portal, to opt out.

Early on-set of CTE.

Somebody take away the keyboard from Cam before he costs himself Sunday $$$$$.

Cannot be serious

Then why are you here

But we do so well in Bowl games ………..

We've been a 7-5 team on average from 2006 through 2023, hence why Miami has sucked in bowl games.

This is the second double-digit win season since 2004 and the Canes would have something to prove with that match-up.

Ward would absolutely play in a game like that, while X and others would follow suit—Arroyo the only guy to sit it out as he can't get banged up.

Guys would play a useful game with a marquee opponent but nobody will get excited to play an Iowa State, a BYU, a Missouri, etc.

The Miami team we see in whichever ballgame we play will be a one time deal. The team will be missing many of the offensive stars we enjoyed this season, especially Cam Ward, X, Arroyo, Jacoby George, possibly Martinez. The 2025 team will feature their replacements from the portal or high school.

The bowl game is likely a repeat of last season’s bowl lost Rutgers. The only difference would be Emory starting rather than Jacurri Brown.

This would be a repeat of the Rutgers game and Cam would be stupid to play in this game and risk any type of injury.

Even at full strength, we are not mindset ready for anything competitive the dirt poopoo we collapse .

Opt out of everything and figure away to put something competitive together for next year 5-6 loss season on the horizon
How laughably ridiculous. So we should opt out of extra money and extra practices and experience for our younger players because you feel a 10-2 team is non-competitive.

You are a shill if you think Miami gets embarrassed by Alabama. You’re a part of the problem lol you don’t watch football you just think Bama is what they were under Saban. And we have our own fans saying this **** we wonder why it’s so easy for the committee to pick Bama
Our fans schweet. That loss got folks acting like straight beeches

The draft eligibles would be foolish to play in a meaningless scrimmage w/o some massive insurance policy payout coverage.

Maybe that is the answer going forward?

Ask Rusty Medearis.

They couldn’t get mad enough to prove it against GT and Cuse…why would it change in the Pop Tart Bowl?

I think there's a chance he'd play after he talked trash to the committee.
My guess is that he'd want to play, but then his handlers will get a hold of him and squash that because he might get injured and harm his earning potential. But hey, I'd love it if we played Bama and if Cam played that game. It would be fun for us and a ratings bonanza.

The other big part people are missing is DeBoer >>>>>>> Cristobal

Also Bama backups > UM backups

People would start crucifying all the backs they have been hyping all year long. They complain that we have HOF backups on the bench but then the moment they see them play they curse their names.

If they were smart those greedy ******** would arrange a play in game this Saturday between the two for the final spot. They already make up rules on the fly. Might as well keep it going.

Would us playing a bowl game of meaning without opt outs keep Mario from firing the defensive staff until after the bowl? Because if the trade off is we get a marquee game against Bama but we have to keep Guidry and others, then no deal.

Well I wouldn't take that trade off either.

Fire Guidry and give Nicholson an audition in the bowl game.
