We need to get Gus ready!!

No chance he redshirts, staff loves him and expects him to have a major contribution. He's just a little behind because of being held out .

We definitely need a big , physical back. Duke needs a Lindell White to his Reggie Bush.

Our Oline played well I thought. We were mauling them, and they adjusted to us and had 8 coming every play. That's a very good defense, and our play calling was questionable. The problems we had running had as much to do with scheme and play calling as they did with the gator defense.

I don't know how you can say that. Easley had Mcdermott sitting in Morris' lap, wether we ran or threw. There was no where to go, running up the middle was out of the question and they have too much speed to go around them with much success. I have no complaints with Clements or Crawfords play today. I thought our playcall was terrible and the Interior O-Line got worked, no ways around it. Linder was as bad as I've seen him play.

Easily timed the snap well a few times and shot the gap, but he wasn't worried about anything else. That's his only role there...that same approach will take him out of 90% of plays if our coaches made some better play calls. Why do you think we were able to run at first? Because they weren't dialed into what we were running. Also, you make calls to slow down the rush....draws, screens, traps...anything like tat. We didn't run anything....we were straight vanilla. It's confusing, and I think it was on purpose. I think our staff had more confidence in our D controlling UF than our O. I really don't think they trusted Morris. It worked....fortunately that's the best front we'll see.

I just don't think it's fair to say our oline got whipped when there were a lot of factors that played into it that were outside there control.
 
Clements is a tremendous pass blocker and a tough, reliable senior. That's the guy you want in a game like yesterday.

Gus will be brought along against weaker opponents until he's ready. Crawford's best position is slot receiver-- once we get better depth that's where he'll end up.

Regardless Eduardo and Crawford can run all over anyone on our schedule not named FSU and maybe VT..... lol so lets not act like our schedule is going to get tougher then the team we had to play today.

Was at the game, have not watched replay, was the call that bad, that BS? I was going nuts thinking Clements just iced the game, then I saw a flag.
 
Clements had what would have been a huge run if not for a bs holding call.

He is a fine backup. Gators front 7 dominated after the first quarter. Duke had no where to go.

This was my biggest concern. Once our running game started getting stuffed there was no adjustment by Coley. No misdirection, no draws, no draw action, no screens. I did miss a couple series but I was very unimpressed with our offensive scheme.

Too late for a regular RS since he played against FAU. He could qualify for a medical RS, though, if he gets injured early enough and doesn't play the appropriate number of snaps.

Yeah they showed the replay and it was an obvious bogus call.....even the commentators were saying that they couldnt see where a holding call shouldve been made
