We must thank Missouri

Actually...thank Arkansas for taking Mizzous corch...which led to Haith leaving the Gables...Thanks Woo Pigs

Just like Shannon was "privately" out of favor. Shannon would still be here if not for the fans and their ZERO attendance for that last USF game.

That 2,000 total attendance was what fired Shannon, not his benefactor.

Haith wasn't going anywhere.
Wrong.

I have to agree with Smokey. Football was our golden goose and the only thing that got Shannon fired was donations and ticket sales plummeted and that's being kind. If we squeaked out a win against USF that day, I'm not sure Shannon would not have gotten fired.

Haith, I have no idea, but I didn't get the impression anyone in the administration cared one way or the other if our basketball program excelled or not. That "privately" comment reeks of "I'm connected and you're not" so who knows if its true. The only thing we do know is that Mizzou did us a huge favor and we thank them for it.
so wrong also...

Haith and Shannon would not still be here. You have an ax to grind against Shalala, that is clear, and has been for years on here, which is your opinion, but it leads you to say some ridiculous things that simply are not true.

Exactly, people say the stupidest things here and it doesn't take long or a telescope to spot an agenda and trend

Smokey is alright in my book. I don't agree w his politics, but he's good peeps. He just goes off the reservation here and there:-)

So you are making an absolute statement as if you have inside knowledge about the only reason Shannon got fired (first bolded part), and then condemning someone else for giving you inside knowledge about something (second bolded part)?

Interesting. You do realize what you just did, right?:-)

I am sharing something with you. I am not an insider. I have no desire for anyone to believe I am an insider. In fact, I wouldn't even say that what I said IS inside information. Just that what Smokey said was completely wrong and misguided.

We know return you to the Bill O'Reilly program. Enjoy!:-)

Yes, I and about 50 other people were there that day that the vaunted USF Bulls beat us. The stadium was empty. So, Yeah, that's why he was fired, for losing, attendance and donations, and most importantly running the football program into the ground. Let's stop with the "privately" comments because you don't know and I don't know. There are about 3 people on the planet who really know and one of them is Donna herself. So again, stop being bomblike and using the word "privately" etc. What the ****, next thing you know, ole chef is gonna make an appearance and tell me I dont know what I dont know and call me bottom 3% again.

And I still think Haith is a better fit on the East Coast than some place like Mizzou. Again, I thank them for their service to my university.

Better get back to Rachel Maddow and NPR, bombsy.

You faulty logic and blatant need to revise and twist the conversation is showing your intellectual deficiencies.

So wait... was it "the only thing that got Shannon fired was donations and ticket sales plummeted" as said, or is it now your backtracked revisionist, I can never be wrong "for losing, attendance and donations, and most importantly running the football program into the ground?" Because you just conveniently added in the holy grail of "losing" and " running the football program into the ground" which changes everything in its entirety, doesn't it?

I get it. When wrong, backtrack, twist, spin, and deny. Fox News baby!!

Oh, and I don't listen to NPR (I couldn't even tell you where it is on the dial) and I watch MSNBC maybe 5 times a year. I'm not like you. I don't need to waste my valuable life watching the boob tube and having my opinions fed to me. Maybe you should get some fresh air, or go spend some quality time with your family instead.

You're kind of wrong all over the place here, buddy. As everyone else said, agendas are transparent. But I will give you credit for being right about something... there IS a lot you don't know. Good luck, Gringo.

Cool, thanks for the analysis.

He wasn't fired just because of the USF game and show by the fans. A lot of people said Kirby made up his mind after the FSU debacle, and if not, the UVA debacle.

I choose not to believe that for one nanosecond. Kirby would have been over ridden by the troll.

Yep, SHE set up the phony "head coach search" to get Randy in, knowing he couldn 't spell his name.

Every Shalala slurper here has a political agenda.

Bottom line, her efforts to rig the coaching search and hire Shannon was criminal.

Right...you and the other righties are the only ones who can see her true commie intentions.

Bottom line is that you know zilch about anything WRT Shalala and the running of the athletic dept at any level, but you've got a great imagination and a hatred for Shalala rooted in her politics.

Such a nice name to call the president of the university...

Can we take the Shalala bashing back to the football board and leave the hoops and baseball board politics-free?

This is what the U has to deal with. A faction of fans that are worse than Gators.

Bottom line, we got lucky. Shalala get love from me for what she has done overall, but she gets **** for what she has done to our athletic department. It's her watch and she was given the keys to a Porshe. She's the one who had an affinity for the unqualified hires and looking the other way while the football program went to ****. But, please keep calling me names because I think your political point of view is beyond repugnant. I could care less that she was in Billy Bob's cabinet. She's done wonders for my university which is doing wonders for my resume, which is doing wonders for my career, and I thank her for it. But thanks for playing.

I stopped reading when I read that she was handed the keys to a Porsche... then I started laughing, then I ran to take a whiz before I ****ed my pants with more laughter. Then I just felt bad for ya. You just disqualified yourself from planet rational. Good luck.
