We lose these guys next year... but

Botts and Mike James are the only guys we're going to miss. James isn't spectacular, but he's run hard this year and I don't think Duke can handle all the carries by himself next year.

That's why we need to hold onto Collins and get him in. Duke + Collins is ridiculous.

I totally agree with this... Collins is a very powerful and fast RB he will add so much explosiveness... i love the idea of him and Duke and Clements in the back field almost forgot about D. Dillard... I think he should be a FB anyway... He needs to add 20 more lbs...

Botts, Buchanan, Smith and Wieclaw will hurt. No depth at those spots (dont know enough about goudis).

We will miss Botts and thats it. Goudis can't be much worse than what Wieclaw has been the since GT. Buchanan has barely played the last two years (might get a 6th year). Smith will not be miss. He should have never put on a Cane uni.

Look, I am not saying these guys are all that good. However, they are getting a majority of the snaps this year (aside Buch) and we either already know that whats behind them isnt much better (no punter, Armbrister/Cornelius, King/Ivery/Moore) or we have no idea (Goudis). Those guys leaving will be an impact because we know what we get and they have good experience.

/really hesitated about Claw but I think he can turn it around
//maybe

I really wish we could keep 2 or 3 of these guys at this stage of their career. I think they are playing outstanding football but they have to go so our young guys may grow and develop. If you can have at least 3 of these guys to stay and do 1 more year who would it be and state why?

my pick:
Mike James (insperational leader and good role model)
Davon Johnson (best hands and most consistent right now)
Brandon McGee (really playing the best football he has ever played here and will play on Sundays)

15 Cameron Dean P 6-3 225 Sr. Gulf Stream, Fla. (Saint Andrews HS)

48 Chris Dunckel DL 6-3 260 RSr. Bethesda, Md. (St. John's College)

61 Paul Kelly LS 6-1 262 RSr. Davie, Fla. (Archbishop McCarthy)

98 Darius Smith DL 6-2 313 RSr. New Britain, Conn. (New Britain HS)
28 Andrew Swasey DB 5-10 198 RSr. Miami, Fla. (Miami Carol City Senior HS)
7 Vaughn Telemaque DB 6-2 202 RSr. Long Beach, Calif. (Long Beach Poly HS)
83 Kendal Thompkins WR 5-10 184 RSr. Miami, Fla. (Northwestern HS)

How will Buchanon hurt? He has barely made any plays when he's healthy. I have already seen more out of Eddie Johnson to not worry about losing Cookie.

Just depth concerns. Not sure we have a freshman that can come in and play right away other than Thomas.

Jermaine Grace should play, imo. His skill set is ideal for this defense.

McGee and Botts will sting a little bit. The special teams guys only because there is a huge question mark behind it, but Wieclaw made us forget about Bosher pretty quick so.....

Can't believe I said McGee. Really though there is nothing there to replace provided Henderson comes back too.

I think the lack of production from most of our players throughout the years is that they were never challenged... AG has developed these players and challenged them he is not scared to bench seniors and he changed their mindsets. No entitlements here... Look how Streeter flourished under Golden look how well McGee is playing, J. Harris, DJ, Ben Jones, Henderson is coming on strong seems like he wants his job back at least getting more of the reps. Some players dont get it though, K. Tompkins, RRA, VT, and a few others. AG just makes the best of what he has to work with.
