The SEC is just filthy in recruiting.

These kids are leaving to go to rural country living- Knoxville, Tuscaloosa, Auburn, Athens, Baton Rouge, and Trailerhassee (FAMU I know).

Do we not know how to drop bags, give out cars, or new girlfriends/associates without a trail of evidence?

Can we spy on an SEC team(s) and learn how?

We will continue this mediocrity if we try to play squeaky clean. NCAA will not truly investigate the SEC. Ole Miss is only being investigated because Saban and Emmert were snitching to each other.

We got to get a 50K stadium and put that revenue into the homes of these savages or handlers.

I'm waiting to be attacked :-). I read waaay more than I post often for a reason. Can't wait for 2016 season to see if we've progressed to a 9+ win football team. 2017 recruiting - another roller coaster I'm sure.

Agree on pretty much all these points. There is no god**** reason any recruit from our area should be going to some rural shlthole except for the bagmen.

Guys...we gotta just start winning....that will cure A LOT.
Our sell this year was..."help us bring the U back". These elite kids have eyes on the NFL...and right now thats where they get the best NFL exposure..the south florida thing doesnt mean jack to most of these kids....

if by "change our philosophy" you mean "win some **** football games" I wholeheartedly agree.

Yall act like "rural country" is so ****ty. Have you been to these campuses? College towns that are all about football, tons of women (public schools vs private), awesome gameday atmospheres, family atmospheres, etc.

Don't knock the rural country ****... these kids love these campuses, and many of them are beautiful (I've been).

First thing you have to do is be honest with yourself. And this post is denial to the max.

They go to be prepared for the NFL

These SEC schools we lost recruits to have better coaching at the position the kid plays, better S&C, and better training facilities

Yeah, the argument that all these college towns suck, and there is nothing to do is pretty weak. Everybody is different. It does suck for some people. For others it feels more like home. What really matters most, and should matter the most is what goes on on the field. If kids are coming to your program because of the nightlife you have around campus they already have one strike against them.

We just have to win, put more azzes in the stands and become relevant again. I think the staff bust their butts, but it just didn't pay off. I'm confident all this will happen next year.

They were better at all those things. Remains to be seen of that is still true. All the more reason 2017 is a much better litmus test in terms of this staff and recruiting.

by change the philosophy do you mean, fire the coach, change the offense, and bring a whole new staff?

if so then we just did that in case you missed it. Takes more than a month to go into effect

I personally think we should start recruiting only guys that want to come and guys with athletic potential but need refinement.

Just being real. The "bagman" thing is a myth and it just lets the real culprits...the Miami admin...off the hook

We're getting out what we put in, in terms of resources and support

If you want better recruiting classes, lobby UM to spend more on assistant coaches and facilities

I think he means upgrade some assistants, upgrade our S&C staff and facilities, and get a stadium plan in place

We have done exactly that. Expecting it to pay dividends in four weeks is not "being real". It's a little nutty.

If we wanted to recruit kids who only wanted to put on for the U, take a look at all the JAGS Golden has signed. Please use your **** brain. The U will always be a brand that any coach can come here and sell and yes you might pull a few elite kids here and there. However, to be in conversation with the likes of Bama and other P5 schools you need to ******* WIN.

Michigan perfect example
2015 class: 50
2016 class: Top 5

Guess what Michigan did they started winning.

We can start by kicking the **** out of Notre Dame on national tv next season

It's not Facilities or administration it was about the schemes.... once the kids see an attacking style on both sides of the ball Miami will be back in control of the state of Miami
All the schools with top rated classes have attacking defenses and explosive offenses
Miami has been recruiting off the U logo and player history alone!
Kids don't want to read and react on defense and they definitely don't want to play for a non descript offensive scheme Richt and his staff Basically had 2 weeks to make up ground and sell vision and they only lost Byrd and a WR no one had even heard about until Ron brought the Donk to coral Gables
That will all change next year

I agree we upgraded the Head Coach, but we've got a guy who's never run an S&C program before, and two guys who have never coached the secondary before.

That's easy for a competing school like Tennessee or Alabama to point out to a recruit
