It's amazing that we are 7-1, Al Golden for coach of the year. Not many players on our defense would start on othere, teams terrible angles and blown assignments all over the place. The future is bright, look at FSU 3 years ago and now look how good they are now b/c they got all the top recruits.

Our best players on defense are mostly upperclassmen and/or guys with a good deal of experience.

The talent and experience are in place for us not be pretty **** good right now.

Offense:

Poor qb play, injuries to Duke and Dorsett. Tough to expect a ton out of them at this point.

all the good players on that list our sophomores. Only one who would start on FSU or bama is Howard..
 
Were 7-1 with a chance at out right winning our division and being 11-1 going to the ACCCG

Pretty **** good season the way it's looking

/Oh and we beat the hated gators this season

Exactly, we are having a great year but we can't compete with the top dogs yet. Just give it a couple more years and we'll be SWAG U again.
 
For as critical has I have been with Morris over the last four games...I am very happy with where we are as a team this year. There was no way I would have put us at 7-0 going into the FSU game. How we finish remains to be seen but its definitely going to be more challenging with our two best offensive weapons sidelined and an inconsistent Morris. However, we are only just starting to reach our potential and that is a beautiful thing!

Execution is why we took a drumming from FSU, and were in close games with GT, UNC, and Wake.

Sure the talent isn't top notch, but it is good enough to beat those three teams convincingly.

Despite FSU going almost perfect on 3rd downs in the 1st half. We went into to half down 7...should have been 4.

Lack of execution, lead to getting that *** spanked. OL needs to block better in short yardage. QB needs to make better decisions, and WR/TE need to catch the **** ball.
 
It's talent FSU could have been up by 21 points in the 1st half if Winston didn't throw picks, he adjusted in the 2nd half and blew us out. We can't compete with FSU yet.

Define "pretty **** good". We're currently 31st in total defense.

Before the season I said we'd finish top 30, and everyone said I was crazy.

Now all of a suddenly that isn't good enough progress.


BTW Bush isn't even close to 100%. A healthy Deon Bush makes that INT that 30 FUBAR'd.

A healthy Deon Bush is alive and well making interceptions on college football's biggest stage. So what do we do on the ensuing possession? Take him out and insert Highsmith. And what happens when Winston throws it up for grabs? The worst player on the team misplays it. No reason for AJ to be in the game.
 
@canesareable, numbers are misleading we are ranked in the top 30 b/c of the bad offenses we have played.
 
We've looked pretty **** average on defense since the USF game

WF is 110 in ppts per game and USF is 117, UF is 103. Savannah state is not even a real football team.

Everybody else ranked in the top 30 is playing a murderers' row of offenses?

The numbers are what they are. Let's not try to manipulate them to fit an agenda.

Bush himself said he doesn't feel right. He said there's still pain and discomfort in his groin. He doesn't look anywhere near as explosive or confident this year.

We have played a really weak sched, i just gave you the numbers of how bad the teams we faced are on offense.
