We back . . . 2000 version

I could never adequately describe to someone else the joy in my heart when Shockey caught that touchdown.

I was laying above the west end zone in the floor of the orange bowl (section x) wrapped in a bear hug with strangers but brothers at the same time, letting man tears flow like a little girl. simply unbelievable

I was with my 80 year old father, sweating, dizzy and we hugged the biggest hug we ever done hugged when shockey raised both hands up with the ball.

that was the hottest day in the Orange Bowl, in what seems like ever. I had actually skipped my friday classes in college in North Carolina to come down for the game. I didn't tell my parents I was doing it. And when Gameday was there my buddy and I climbed up on the orange barriers behind the set so our heads were right behind Corso, Herbstreit, and Fowler. We're drinking beer having a good time, not even thinking about my parents seeing us. My little brother and Dad were watching tv and flipping through the channels and dad goes to ESPN for a quick sec and my little brother was like Dad that's Rodney. Dad keeps flipping saying shut up Brian, it's not Rodney. He's at school. Dad it was, he says. Dad puts it back to say,"see it's not Rod- god ****'t it it is Rodney." lulz busted. didn't care best time ever

Best sporting event of my life.

The WVU game earlier in the season was an underrated turning point, too.

I remember I was living in California and watched the game HIGHLY intoxicated at 8:00AM. By the 4th quarter, I received a citation for disturbing the peace.

Great day in CANE history!

After the Washington debacle, I fully expected to lose to WVU. In fact, didn't they start off with a 7-0 lead before we waxed that ***?

I remmeber having a sat morning class in college during that game....it was a mid term exam only reason i didnt skip class.... finished the test in like 45 min stressing about that game....how surprised i was to come in seeing that we were up 14-0...i was so juiced...then go back to my boys house and we down 24-20....i just slumped...then ken dorsey became my favorite qb of all time from then on!!!!!!

I had just finished moving into my new house, my daughter was 4 months old and I was home alone with her as my wife had to tend to her family, thus me missing the **** game. Literally watched the whole game with my daughter in my arms, and she was sleeping the whole time I held her and shook her like a football, my wife literally got home as we scored trying to grab my daughter and I give her the look of "take her now and you die" she understood, minute after the missed fg with my daughter asleep I ran around the sofa handed my daughter off to my wife ran outside my house into the middle of the street, so as to not wake my daughter, and began to introduce myself to my new neighbors with spastic and crazy fist pumps with a "FUUUUUUUUUUUUCK YESSSSSSSSS!!" so loud that I got a disturbing the peace charge from China. And I'd do it again
