We are 4-2, 3-0 ACC...

MY take on the rest of the schedule
UNC- Loss; Only people who havent been paying attention think we will win this game, but our club so up and down nothing would totally surprise me
FSU- Lulz, loss
VaTech-Win, they are horrific
Duke- We should win, but their offense will throw 40 points on the board on us. Thats real talk
Virginia- Win; that is one ugly, ugly team, way worse than us believe it or not
USF-Win, again, just inept on both sides of the ball

There isn't any. Duke will dropped 40 on us and I'm not even kidding around saying this. The defense is so bad the offense has to basically be unstoppable for us to win and Coach D needs to be fired at seasons end. Anyone defending him is delusional at this point after yesterdays game

Jefe, it goes the way you see it( and I don't disagree), doesn't that constitute a pretty good year, all things considered?

Bowl eligible and growth/experience for the young kids are the goals. Everything else is gravy.
 
Gotta give Ringz credit. He's carrying the banner today. You guys that are whining about the team are equivalent to the player on the bench hanging his head early in the 3rd qtr cause his team is getting beat. Plenty of ball left to play, and we've at least met expectations for the half of the season. What the **** did you guys think we were going to do this year???!!!

That's just funny. None of these teams has played anybody except Duke who got trounced by Stanford. VT has a pie schedule to this point and they're 3-3. You are lacking perspective at the moment.

Duke's best wins are FIU, UVA, and Wake. They got beaten as badly at Stanford (who's average) as we did by KSU and ND. They're still Duke. Just slightly better. They could easily lose out. You can say they're a better team, but there's nothing you can point to definitively that bears it out. UNC managed to lose to Wake. VT is in a dogfight with GT for worst team in the division. They have nothing on offense.

None of this eliminates our issues on D, but there is no team left you can chalk an L up to aside from FSU.
 
We got a long season ahead of us. We need to regroup and focus on UNC. I thought we were a 6 or 7 win team but 8 wins is within reach. Yes our Defense sucks but playing games at home will give some boost. What I learned yesterday was that our Offense has the potential to be very good and outside of FSU should be able to put up points against anyone left on our schedule. Evrey game including Duke will be a battle from here on out, but I have faith that our team will grow and get better as a whole. I predict there will be one more Sunday morning on here where everyone will on the ledge ready to jump, but in the end I think we can pull through with a solid season.
 
With that UNC win over VaTech this weekend, we're set up better than we have been since what 2005?

It would be amazing if we actually won the division this year over all the other years since we joined the ACC.

Does in my book. We get everyone back for next year and hopefully a couple of JUCO's in for the spring. Teams are reborn every year and we arent really "that" far away. I watched FLorida live and in person last year and this year and they are night and day, and all it truly came down to was bringing a ton back, both coaching and players.

It's amazing that if we beat UNC, we have a very good chance at 9 wins. Considering Vegas and Phil Steele had us in the 5 - 6.5 category, that's way above the bell curve.

Again, we are not "that" far away, we show flashes of what we can be. But our defense....

Yup but its the same defense we had against GT and NCST.

Obviously UNC and VT present different challenges but at the same time, all these teams have been so wildly inconsistent that it's really tough to try to gauge these games on the past.

We are going to need to score a ton of points against both teams to win, just like GT and NCST. We probably need a break to two to go our way as well.

I disagree that our young pups gave up. The truth is that, once an avalanche starts in a college football game, you need a game changer to stem the tide. We simply do not have one on defense at this time. Once one or two of our guys develop into a turnover causing, big-play type of player, we will have a hard time beating teams that are further along or more developed. BTW, I was at the game last night. I saw frustration in not being able to stop the opposition. I did not see quit.

Our only goal is to win this coastal. Give us a chance in the ACC title game. And if by some miracle we pull of an ACC Championship......well....wouldn't that be something?

Golden found players for this team. He will find Dline. He will. We will be better. But we are not down and out. **** we are in the drivers seat.
