A confirmation on his intentions to sign with the Hurricanes.
Steed told InsideTheU that he is shutting things down following his talk with Diaz and Brown and no longer going to consider Louisville or Mississippi State.
"Everything went real well," Steed said. "I'm not planning to go anywhere else. I mean Miami is the hometown team. There's no reason to go anywhere else. I want to put TheU back on the map."
Steed played a majority of this past season at Miami Central with a torn ACL. He's set to have surgery on that knee Friday.
"We talked a little bit about that," Steed said in reference to the rehab process. "They were just saying that they are going to take real good care of me and that they can't wait until I'm full speed. I'm just ready to get going."
Steed will take his official visit to Miami next weekend before enrolling early in January. He'll travel to campus with his teammate and good friend, Top100 offensive tackle Navaughn Donaldson, who the Hurricanes are desperately trying to keep in the class while Florida State makes a late push.
"They coming for him but I think we got him."
