WAY too early top 25

I hope UNC isn't ranked when we play them. :O (May have to amend my prediction to 3-5 in the ACC, what with Golden's record against top 25 teams and all) :)

Don't understand how the 5th team in the Coastal is ranked...

Lose TE Eric Ebron, QB Brynn Renner, DE Kareem Martin, CB Jabari Price (didn't know he went to Ely), S Tre Boston, and two starting OL.

Why is unc so high? Who do they got coming back?

Makes total sense...as long as you don't look at what they lost.

They lost their best players (Ebron, Renner and Hurst) and some other notables (Tre Boston (S), Tim Jackson (DT), Kareem Martin (DE) and Jabari Price (CB).

Hurst is a potential first round pick (one of the OL).

I wouldn't have FSU at #1. They lose a LOT of good players. I think they'll reload on offense, but I don't expect their D to be nearly as good as it was last year.

I am not going to look it up but I am sure they lost even more starters on defense after last season and everyone was saying they wouldn't be as good. Well they were better. I personally hope they go 0-12 but they should be **** good next year. I expect a bigger drop off in offense for them next year. They lose Greene, Shaw, Benjamin, O'Leary, and Freeman.

I really don't get the UNC hype at all.

If you totally ignore who they lost, it possibly makes sense.

They finished 6-1 and won their bowl game. The one loss was against Duke and they almost beat them.

Yeah but they didn't beat anyone good until they crushed Cincy. Not impressed.

I agree and Cincy is not good either (they lost to USF and Illinois). I was just stating if you ONLY looked at that it may make some sense.

Greene and O'leary didn't leave

Oh, I read you loud and clear.

And in case some people still don't get it: **** YOU if you think UNC is going to be good next year.

Why on earth would we "get any love"? We finished the season atrociously in a mediocre conference, and lost our starting QB. While we all want to believe that Morris's departure is addition by subtraction, there's nothing to support that hope right now.

And our defense sucks.

So it would be comical if we are ranked anywhere in the top 25.

Ironically, we are typcially way overhyped in the preseason polls. For the last decade writers repeatedly speculate that each year may be the year that UM turns it around and gets back to where it is "supposed" to be. but the results -- under shannon and golden -- during the season have blown that theory to shreds.

that's what our opponents used to say about us. and we would reload with a new crop of studs.

How the **** is UF anywhere near the top 25. They have one of the worste offenses in the country and are losing a couple of key starters?

Yup, the narrative in 2012 was that the Noles missed their opportunity then when they lost players like X Rhodes, Tank and the German in the first 40 picks, and then they won the MNC. The Noles return the best player in the nation and what will probably be the best DL in the nation with Edwards-Goldman-Casher. Not to mention they have a ridiculously talented secondary....

Not saying they won't be a very good D, but losing Jernigan and Joyner is like losing Wilfork and Reed. Just don't think you can assume you can replace that. Losing those 2 guys is the defensive equivalent of losing Winston. They are also losing the entire starting lb corps.

Offense will be at least as good as last year. Winston and most of the offensive line is in tact. They will plug in Cook, Rudolph and Lane and keep it moving.
