Alabama running backs averaged 4.3 yards BEFORE contact. Anybody would look elite running behind that OL last year.

And to the OP, I get your point. But no he is not TJ Yeldon. And not because TJ was a top player in the country either. But he can be better then Q Hill. (Which isnt saying much really. I love Q too but lets not make it seem like buddy was Cleveland Gary or sumthin.) Any other year Gus would redshirt. Lets just hope EC will be back to normal and he can be the one to spell Duke.

So a rb who is 6-1 220 and ran as fast as 4.35 in the forty is not a "freak" . Gotcha. Nobody is sucking off the sec, didn't say anything about his production(i understand a lot of it is system based). I hate the SEC and BAMA as much as anyone, but it doesn't mean I go claiming all their players are average or suck. Time to be realistic .All I was getting at is why I thought the gus Edwards comparison was unwarranted. Don't get me wrong I would still take Duke any day of the week but your argument doesn't Make sense


That being said I hope bama blows it big time this year. ACC has a lot of early Match ups vs the SEC this season, hopefully ACC shows up play so the polls will be less biased at the end of the season

Lol. You are right, Zone3Cane. Look, I am all for giving respect where it is due to schools like Bama and LSU... but dammit man. Every **** that plays in the SEC aint half man/half machine.
 
Jalen Hurd (Tennessee commit) is considered one of the best rb prospects in the 2014 recruiting class and has roughly the same measurements as Gus Edwards.... and after watching both of their highlight tapes, i'd have to say that Gus Edwards looks like the better rb.


..... I think Gus is going to be a beast and i think the staff believes this as well, if they didnt, they never would've hinted that he is going to push for playing time immediately and he wouldnt be wearing the #7 jersey.

If Gus could be a Quad Hill it would be incredible. That is worth the scholly every single time.

High school and college 40 times should always be taken as suspect.
People are enamored with 4.3 times and seem to forget that sub 4.5 is world class speed.
Burns is one of the fastest recruits from last year nationwide and I think he ran a laser timed 4.5.
That kid Whitfield timed sub 4.4 which was amazing with the cinder blocks attached to his wrists.
Would you rather have him or coley from last year?
I'll take fast football players over super fast guys who are just athletes.

As for yeldon if he breaks 4.5 when it counts I'd be shocked.
