Probably THE finest young man I've ever had the pleasure of coaching or being around. Off the field, a gentle giant. On the field, a ruthless savage. Humble, hard-working and will do whatever is asked of him. Matter of fact, you don't even have to ask, if something needs to get done he will volunteer. That's how he ended up playing Right Tackle at Miami. They were looking for a RT they could trust and Mongo said "let me do it coach".

His story gets even deeper than this video but out of respect I won't go into detail. Just know, the kid was dealt a really ****** deck of cards and because of his hard work and perseverance (he actually went to Miami's spring game and approached the staff with his tape, Miami wasn't recruiting him) he's now going to graduate with a top-flight education and most likely an NFL contract.

Funny quote from Kehoe when I spoke to him about Feliciano last month... (excuse the language but I'm quoting Kehoe word for word)

"He's doin ****** awesome man. He's a ****** throwback, knock you in the mouth and **** your mother type of player. He'll ****** steamroll your ***, step on your teeth and keep goin. We could literally make a 25-play highlight tape of him just pulling and knocking the **** out of people. He's the best I've EVER had at doing that in 30 years of coaching."

Like I said, his story is even worse than the video shows. Nobody deserves a Miami education and a shot at the NFL more than this kid. He's one of those kids that a coach will remember until he dies. His story is so compelling. And he's unanimously loved by everybody he crosses paths with. Great freakin' kid.

I always felt bad I couldn't do a better job production-wise for Jon (and some of you made that point clear in your comments... sorry about that). I know someone will eventually do the story a thousand-times than I did. He's one of the best people I know and deserves everything he gets for his family.

Good job, good effort.

Strong words considering Kehoe coached Richard Mercier. Great video and post.

Great story. He really is a beast.

Thanks for sharing. So true about him pulling. I feel like basically every big run Duke had last season, there was Feliciano laying a key block downfield to spring it open

Good story man. Only thing I would suggest, and I'm not sure if your professor's telling you not to, but have a little more emotion in your voice. It felt like you were intentionally being monotonous. Be yourself on camera.

Not being biased, but that usually is the case. You can even look back to some of Miller's biggest runs. (i.e. against VT late in the game)

They love to run "Power" to the right side with Feliciano pulling.

Great uplifting story. So much respect for people like big Jon who got dealt a crappy hand in life, and could have easily sulked and pout, but instead continued to strive for a better future. As Notorious B.I.G. once said, "Uh, **** right I like the life I live cause I went from negative to positive. And it's all good."

What a great story. Much respect to this kid.

I love that he and his brother are close like that. Sounds like a real American dream success story.
