Watch for this kid at safety

If this kid ever gets meaningful snaps on the field then Golden and co. has failed at recruiting another position. Safety is looking real thin next year.

Very.

Deon and Jenkins are both still pretty raw so the potential is sky high, but depth and Deon's injury are scary. There's usually some decent JUCO safeties but it doesn't look like we are thinking that route. Must be some guys already on the roster being considered. Lockley still coming here? Forgot about him. Some debate on his position but our coaches said safety so....

Thanks for the scoop, Pete, but if all this kid could get was Fairmont State, then there were more questions about him than size.

I wouldn't really call this a "scoop" to be honest. He's been on the practice squad all year, but I've recently heard that he's making noise. Just wanted to bring the name up now so that when it's announced that a new player is added to the roster in a few months, people won't be freaking out asking who he is and where he came from. More of an informative post than anything.

Thanks for the heads up Pete. He does actually look nice. Couple problems I am shure DC can fix. I noticed on one play he just pitched the blocker away and tackled the runner--that FREE LANCING will have to be corrected or he will never wee the field. Also, he has a disturbing tendacy to hit people when they have the ball--I am pretty sure that is a violation of team rules. Biggest problem of all is he seems to insist on being right next to intended reciever when the ball is throw--i am certain that was one of the NCAA penalties that we self-imposed and they mut have doubled because we haven't really gotten within 5 yards of an intened reciever since the announcement.

Other than that, kid looks trainable. Fairmont has Temple level talent, so Mark and friends will feel good.

Cool. Another thread where a defensive player can't be discussed without criticizing the coaching staff and scheme.

Good looking out Pete.

You do have to factor in player develoment and project what he will look like on the field. But just to be fair, the staff is not as bad as Coker who managed to suck with anything less than and entire team of 1st round draft picks.

I think its safe to say the topic has been touched on

Plan on the excuse shifting from DT depth to Safety depth

Meanwhile the offense will continue to improve

One of the best players in the NFL right now is a kid from Dade county that went the JC route first. His name is Lavonte David. He is tearing up the league right now. Yes he is a one in a thousand type player that goes from unknown to a superstar. But the point is there are gems out there from Dade.

No one knows what this kid looks like now but the coaching staff. We are thin at safety right now especially with Kacy having to play corner. If this kid has shown he can be in the right place at the right time we may need him before the season is over.

Can he be worse than AJ? AJ has the move down following the opponent into the end zone. It at least looks like this kid would try to make a tackle.

There are.

When Miami doesn't have them committed, the staff is "missing out on gems."

When Miami does have them committed, the staff is "going after Plan-C guys."

SMH.

Good looking out Pete.

Seems like this is going to be the theme of the off season.

It's getting pretty pathetic, really. There was a little entertainment mixed in for the first couple weeks, now I'm starting to question the sanity of many of the posters here.

my homer side tells me this may be the Santana Moss version on the defensive side.

my cynical, ****tard side tells me the lack of talent has sunk to a new low.

Funny **** I actually played intramural flag football against this kid at the beginning of the semester before he was with the team. He's pretty fast and has decent athleticism but LOL at him maybe playing for us next year. That would just be... SMH
