Warning: Bored watching Pitt/Clem Looong.. and that's not all.
In the ACC every week we're coming up against gimmick offenses for at least the first half in most cases. In the ACC teams seem to take chances against us I rarely see they do against other teams. They stormed the field after a win . I am not sure if that would happen in a Big Ten loss. 4 and 5 and 6 weeks of having to prepare for these different quote and quote gimmick offenses, and a myriad of fourth down fakes and trickeries. Every week dealing with teams going all out (injuries be dammed) nothing to lose basically.
In the Big Ten we would just be another Power Team and we would probably see more traditional type offense and defense consistently. These teams are going to play to their strengths, High recruits on defense and offense and skill players. So our preparation would be simpler in many aspects, at least more consistent and a chance to really get better. Again, not saying that playing these different skill sets every week is not going to get you better, but eventually after a while one of them may get you, especially in the recent one where they had two weeks to prepare. Timing was everything in that game. Not making excuses as to why we should not win the ACC this year and for the foreseen future with Mario at the helm. But after 6 or 7 weeks, I TOO get tired of seeing these gimmick offenses over and over and over and over and over and over.

2 points here.

When Miami comes to town, it’s like a NC game.

Secondly, with our offense, opposing teams know they have to try and out score us so they try everything in the book to do so. Guidry has said several times our D sees things early from opponents offenses not shown on tape. Granted, we haven’t played well the last few games but we get caught off guard some too.

Be careful what you ask for...yes, the BIG 10 pays a lot more and is a much stronger league, but Miami playing in Columbus, State College, Ann Arbor and Madison in November is a recipe for disaster. In addition to cold weather, those stadiums are packed with 100K+ (except Madison), which the ACC can't compare to as they aren't football schools

Our defensive issue is all on us
I generally blame coaching when every aspect of defense is bad
Now that coaches have a year of film on Guidry
It’s clear that they are simply out scheming him

And what if those fans are mean to away teams?

We’ve learned this year our fan base can’t handle it.

Gone soft.

You’re reaching too hard. Fans of unranked teams typically storm the field when they win against a top 5 opponent

I miss our defense.

I also miss paragraphs. Page breaks.
