That's what I'm trying to do neal. For the most part, the guys replacing the outgoing walking corpses are far more athletic and were more heavily recruited.

This defense should be light years better!!! We need those two DTS to hold the point and allow a more experienced/developed McCord/DP/Bush/Jenkins/Figatron and the others to do their thang! The experienced players are much better than last year. we return an all ACC lb and several others that made the team and a few that were on the fringe. None on the list that left us last year.
 
We sucked on defense last season for several reasons, lack of talent was only one of them. Let's move on!

Thinking back on this thread, we really should be replying, "who gives a **** about last year?"

That season is over and it's on to bigger and better things.

Right now we are undefeated and tied for 1st in the Coastal.
 
This is exactly what I have been stressing. I think so many people want to put all the blame on the scheme, but when you have those type of players in your lineup things are going to be ugly. There where several game changing plays that these guys did not make simply because they were just not talented enough to make the play. Being put in the proper position had nothing to do with it.

Those guys were not BCS caliber football players and we suffered big time because of it.
 
Looks like a lot more talent this year. Time to find out if that matters or is the coaching as bad as we fear.

Coaching matters ask TCUs of the world

Give me studs but give me a coach worth a **** to put them in a position to succeed and hide what ever weaknesses they have cause you know they get paid good to sit around and scheme

No denying that. Certainly not absolving this coaching staff. It's a marriage of train wrecks, and we wonder why we lose to Duke, and Virginia etc

I have faith..... Golden won 9 games with the corpses in the 1st post starting multiple games.......

Yes, they may not have been the best talent but they gave their all. Most of them were plug in players from a lack of depth and probably part of one of the worst recruiting classes in our history of a program. They fought through all the NCAA bs and they are Canes. I'm glad all of them are now ProCanes except for highsmith. its great seeing that they were all given chances even though they were less talented. Cheers to those guys that gave us 9 wins and hope for the future of the program. That is all.

I see a lot of guys that busted their asses that just were not Miami guys that had a shot..that includes Perryman. Chick has not been what we wanted but the kid was underweight than overweight then tossed from side to side in the middle etc...i see more clowns in here..
