Last night’s results were bad for us RPI wise, dropping us to 16 in the Warren Nolan RPI. Boyd’s RPI Needs Report now says we need to sweep Duke to finish the regular season with a top 16 RPI.

Hosting is pivotal for us this year. IMO being the 17th team in and being the last team in are no different. The way the tournament sets up we are never gonna be a 4 seed. And with our lack of reliable arms we can’t afford to get into that 2-3 game. We need to be able to start McMahon against a 4 seed and save our arms to make it out of a regional

Never start your best against a 4-seed unless they have some kind of freak ace like Chris Cody at Manhattan back in the day.
