Wake @ Miami, 11/23/24: Senior Day

I don't care for the without Ward talk. I only believe in the team because of Ward and I said that in January. The rest of the team just isn't good. This is not what you expect a good football team to look like. It's a Manny team with Ward.
Agree, all around the team is below average, offense stalls, playcalling is just putrid at times, we know the defense is what it is, a lot to pick on them about, and that’s very bad, special teams coverage is bad and even when we have the ball kicked our way there is always a penalty on us. No emotions from the coaching staff, timeouts taken/not taken at times that make them questionable. Overall we’re a bad football team.

So Taylor and big Joe gotta go?
Big Joe is just a vessel . Dont think he even coaches at this point. Taylor IMO can go. I haven’t seen any position that makes me think the coach on defense should be retained.

Maybe we just need better/smarter players but Mario isn’t doing the type of job in that department that he was brought in for

Don’t want to crown him yet but his team hasn’t showed the same issues from week to week like the 100yr coaching vet that Mario is

The one bright spot during Diaz tenure was seeing Lashlee making the most of a limited roster. I was on board with Diaz getting fired, but I didn’t understand why people were lusting after Cristobal. His teams always look poorly coached. Yes he can get talent but this is the NIL era. Was the wrong coach for the wrong era. Recruits don’t care about the record, they want to get paid. I didn’t see the point of paying 80 million for Cristobal plus the buyouts. His ceiling was a lesser Mark Richt (richt actually had his team’s prepared).

Thought the most practical idea was hiring Lashlee as HC, and taking all that money that was going to go to Cristobal and put it towards NIL. Imagine having 5 million extra a year for the next 8 years to go towards filling out the roster.

Downvote all you want, but despite our records and our dominant W in week one, I think recruits are feeling UF right now more than UM. A HC is selling hope. They look like they are trending up. We are trending down- week after week UM doesn’t look prepared. And even if it’s not his fault, Cristobal going to be blamed for wasting Ward (though I think it’s more of a Dawson and Ward issue)

Does anyone have an easier schedule than us? It’s laughable.
