Our defense may suck, but watch Stephen Morris put up better numbers overall than Thomas this year. Morris looked very accurate against BC, Thomas looks like he will struggle at times to hit receivers.

I have no worries about GT.

If Thomas is as inaccurate as he is today, then VT becomes beatable too.
 
Would be nice to have an AQl Groh coaching our D.He's twicw the DC Denofrio and Golden are/were.

Logan will be running a ton against us and hitting his TE a lot. D better come correct.
 
I don't think we can be them, but with how much Logan likes to run I can't wait for the formal introduction of his chops to #52's shoulder pads.

Both of these teams are beatable.

It's obvious VT wants to use Logan the same way UF used the left handed fullback...which is ironic since they both suffer from the same affliction - a lack of accuracy.

No doubt the kid is a good athlete and is going to run for a ton of yards...but it's obvious this is the type of kid where your gameplan is to force him to beat you through the air. Bring heat and crowd the box.

Way may lose to VT , we may not...either way I've seen nothing that makes me think that game won't be extremely competitive and that we won't have a chance to pull it out at home.

Golden was Groh's DC at UVA. D'Onofrio coached under Groh, too.

Yes this is why I wrote that Groh is better than both.You have Groh as your DC,get him some athletes and you don't have to worry about the defense anymore.An Al Groh at miami with the talent Golden is recruiting and we might be seeing our defense dominate like it did in the 80s.

VT looks exactly like last year's version. Minus David Wilson.
 
Holmes is a huge drop-off from David Wilson, and Ryan Williams before him. I don't see an effective VT with a 'cute' offense; grinding is at their core.
 
we can beat or lose to both of these teams. if theres one thing we learned about a Al Golden coaches team, it's that we will be in every game with a chance to win. Go Canes
