SEC DT from Alabama that de commits from Bama is ALWAYS staying in the SEC

But to clarify I’m complimenting our coaching staff because this would fly in the face of almost all of the recruiting rules (I could be missing some details though)

I’ll believe it when I see it but amazing job by our staff so far. Also interesting what he’s said about our defensive philosophy

Would be a massive commit on several levels in my humble opinion

We need to over pay to get this thing going. They talking about getting a 5⭐ wr. I'd rather this guy out of heart of SEC country

I don’t have any connections to our NIL department other than second hand info, but it sure seems like we are bringing big money to the 2026 class after an underwhelming finish to 25 (though the portal was obviously good so far)

That might have been the plan if the staff felt that there wasn’t as much value in last year’s recruiting class as in the portal. It maybe that really smart NIL spending will dictate whether to spend in the portal or high school and that may change on an annual basis depending on a team’s needs for that recruiting cycle and that high school class.

As we have discussed before, every school wants the #1 QB for example, but the #1 high school QB is not of the same value every year, just as with pro drafts. 2 years again the Spurs get Wembayama at #1 and last year the Hawks get the French guy whose name I can’t spell or pronounce. Both #1 overall picks but of dramatically different value.

I may not be correct but I hope this is the analysis UM is doing every year.
