Visits Key for Dixon

If it comes down to mama, location and education............gotta be the Canes. Miami education way better than Bama and bucknuts
 
Kid says we're right there. Has visited enough to a point where he feels he knows the campus, life, coaches and players. In other words there's a sense of belonging and comfort. There is also McDermott locally and new comer Coley, reinforcing his comfort. The other teams he's considering have to get to that point and it can't be done in a single visit. The Cane staff will convince him to visit once more and that will do it. He'll feel that he is a part of the team. The Psych manual tells you when a person is considering a place of refuge, in this case college, he will choose the place where these needs are met, generally, not always, but I feel good about our chances with Dixon. Plus he's the explosive type we need to combine with a big receiver in Langham

Mom wants him here and with all the visits he's taken here you would think shes been with him most of the time so that should give us an edge. Also, I think he does take an ov at the end of the day with coaches and commits convincing him
 
People need to remember that Chad committed shortly after he took visits to Alabama & FSU. Maybe he will go on those OV's & come back thinking that he isn't ready to leave Miami/his family.

I think Chad wanted to commit before the season so he wanted to be sure that UM was for sure the right choice. Now Dixons mom is the key and if she is willing to let him go when she seems comfortable with him here

I might be mistaken but didn't Dixon say he wanted to commit by July or Aug. at the start of the summer? Dixon will not commit until we get our sanctions in my opinion, I remember him being very interested in the outcome.

I think visits have something to do with it too. Most of these kids who want to EE will take their OV early in the season so maybe he doesnt want to commit and take visits too never know
