Bozo the Diaz was simply way over his head. All of this high level recruiting and changes we see are things that Bozo just couldn't do. He just wasn't good enough, organized enough, intelligent enough or respected enough. Just look at that shytbag staff he had minus Lash. Bozo the Diaz had no business ever being offered the job in the 1st place. I could say the same for every coach post Davis yes even Richt. While I have a great deal of respect for coach Richt and what he accomplished in his career, it should have been very clear to a competent AD that the man was burnt out and was in the twilight of his career. The thing is we didn't have a competent AD. We had Fake James who should have never been hired as AD. It's amazing to me the way that our brand has endured after 2 decades of being **** on by huckster opportunists and corrupt hacks like Donna Shalala who didn't give a rip about our proud tradition and presided over it's near collapse. The good news is that all of that is in the rearview mirror and we have finally set the ship on the right course. Now we can begin to see what this proud brand and program are capable of achieving with the full support of the school, the president, the BOT and an entire administration on the same page and working toward the singular goal of winning, of being the best, of being champions. With the money behind us and the wind at our backs we can finally experience what this proud program was always supposed to be and that my friends is a force of nature. A Category 6 Hurricane is on course to make landfall right at the SEC's doorstep. Payback is going to be a bytch.
Ok, why should it have been obvious Richt was worn out? He’s not that old, and it made a ton of sense that a change of scenery plus more control were exactly what he needed.

When coach Richt left Georgia it was no secret that he was tired and a bit burnt out as he had said so himself. He had planned to take a year off then evaluate how he felt going forward. When the Miami job came open and he was pursued for the job it was something that he couldn't allow himself to pass up being an alumnus.

Additionally it was never about his age in number of years so much as the fact that the 15 years coaching at UGA had really worn him down. I didn't know coach Richt personally but even I as a fan of college football could see the signs as did many others. The way in which his relationship with Georgia had ended was another indicator. There was also the feeling that the game was begining to pass him by. His offensive system was becoming more and more antiquated and it didn't seem like he had much of a desire to keep up or to reinvent his offensive philosophy. To sum it up Richt seemed to be tired and worn down by the end of his tenure at UGA to anyone who was paying attention. That being said I want to make it perfectly clear that I have the utmost respect for the man. He did the best that he could and he put up a million of his own money to make the IPF a reality in addition to being a stand up guy and stepping down when it became clear to him that he just didn't have the energy and fire anymore instead of holding UM hostage and holding out until he got fired. Mark Richt will always be a Miami Hurricane.

I’m not implying you don’t respect him, nor am I saying he didn’t look tired. I just don’t think it was too crazy to think all he needed was a fresh start. Think of all the fresh starts Urban Meyer has had. If a new job can cure his heart trouble, it should have been able to put some zip in Richt’s step.

Apples and Oranges. Urban Meyer wasn't cured of heart trouble. He played it up as a smokescreen in order to get out of dodge because he knew he had made a mess but wasn't going to be accountable for cleaning it up. Urban is a winner true but him and his winning come with a rather steep price tag meaning that he is going to do whatever it takes to win even if he has to mortgage a programs future in order to do it then when it comes time to pay the gold card he splits town. Mark Richt is a good honest man. Urban Meyer is a garden variety sociopath.

That was a joke, Urban clearly never had health issues. It’s more likely he wanted to get out of town before one of his players murdered him.

Also a joke.

Kinda.

Pipo was out with Mrs. Pipo for dinner at the Rusty Pelican.

I threw up the U. I got it back with a “Yeah Baby.” Mrs. Pipo shook her head in shame. It’s a Cane thing. She wouldn’t understand.
